I know of someone whose application after AOR went into processing March 18th,got AIP April 22nd.

Two other fellow did their medicals since Feb and still not COPR yet while some who did medical in April got COPR already.

Is kind of crazy, you would think they follow timeline, but they dont.
I just feel the officers incharge have different rules they follow.
I am not settled at all. At least AIP na? I have my hours about 2000 hours. My job title is clinical trial liaison, it is not the conventional psw. Worked at the frontline for pharma. My company confirmed everything. My activities are in line with Orderlies and Patient Service Associate. Had direct patient contact, patient care, assessment and follow up for 4 different covid 19 clinical trials.

Good day everyone, wishing us all a week of good news, I just want to ask if anyone has experienced or knows anyone who is in this situation, it's been 5weeks since I got my AIP and am yet to get a mail for my Medical, I have called like 4times, they keep saying they have not sent it yet, I tried getting an appointment with out the email, but the approved Physicians in my city said I have to bring along the mail from IRCC. Then I noticed in my AIP letter, my file has been transferred to Toronto office. Any one waited this long for Medical? Thanks.
Find another doctor who does medicals without the letter. Even if it is far away. Places are beginning to open now. You may want to call every doctor in the approved list of doctors and ask them. Tell them you want to do preapplication medicals, that you have no request letter but you have a UCI number and application number.

5 weeks after AIP is overboard.Look for another Doctor who can do your medical without the letter from IRCC.
If I may ask, when last did you do medicals either related to work permits or employment?

I can feel your pains. The truth is,you just have to be more patient.
Since you have left your employer where you had all these hours, just inform them if IRCC call to confirm if you had worked there.

I was just asking to see if anyone got an AIP with another job title than PSW.

But in policy social workers are not eligible if am not wrong
Why not? It depends on your job description. Anybody can be eligible, depending on what your employer approved that you were doing during the pandemic. You have to be working directly with patients and taking care of patients in any capacity to be eligible. Even cleaners, cooks and maids are eligible.

I did 2018, when I first came into Canada, and 2019 when I got employment.

NO, this is incorrect sir, the list of eligible occupation is listed on the requirements, not anybody can be eligible as you said.
It says:

Your work experience must meet all of the following requirements.

  • Your experience is in one or more of these jobs:
    • Nursing co-ordinators and supervisors (NOC 3011)
    • Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses (NOC 3012)
    • Licensed practical nurses (NOC 3233)
    • Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates (NOC 3413)
    • Allied primary health practitioners (NOC 3124)
    • Home support workers (NOC 4412) - some occupations only
  • Your job matches the National Occupation Classification (NOC) description
  • You provided direct patient care in these jobs
  • You did most of the main duties listed in the NOC descriptions for these jobs
