hi. I am an cec inland applicant and currently stuck in india due to covid. My work permit and trv expire on 25th july 2021. And today I have received pr confirmation portal asking if I am still In canada. My question is can I still travel on my trv on 30june . Please help@legalfalcon

With this tool it says I can't enter canada. But I don't have that choice. If I don't go and my trv and wp both expire on 25th july what will happen . I have no idea. Please suggest

Maybe there is a way around, maybe you can play it risky and let someone receive your Pr from your address and mail it to you. But how would you land ?

You can travel if you can get a flight and meet the requirements.
As regards COPR, you will not get one until you are in Canada.

You will have to apply for a new TRV. You can get travel to Canada on your COPR / PR visa if you are exempt from travel restrictions.
However, as a Work Permit holder, you are exempt from travel restrictions.
I am a little bit confused as you said they won't issue me a copr while I am in india then how can I get travel to canada on my COPR/ Pr visa if I am exempt from travel restrictions.

Hi legalfalcon, I am in the similar situation. I am waiting for my PR (FSW-Inland) and I am currently outside with no ability to return in the next 1-2 months. I have valid work permit + visa. If I get my copr while being outside of Canada, can I return using my work permit + visa as they were issued until 2022...?

If you are outside Canada, IRCC will not issue you a COPR until you are physically in Canada. So until then you can return on your WP.
Even if you are sent a COPR, IRCC has been sending letters and reverting applicants who were not physically in Canada back to the TRV status, until they are in Canada.

If you have changed your address to India, then IRCC will send you a PPR, and ask you for your passport to issue your a COPR and PR visa with which you can travel.
However, for applicants in Canada, IRCC is issuing them COPR as they Do Not need a visa since they are already in Canada.
However, if you leave Canada and do not update your address with IRCC that you have changed your country of residence, if IRCC issued you a COPR, all other existing visas will be cancelled. Lately, IRCC is sending emails to confirm if you are physically in Canada, if you are not, then IRCC will not issue you a cOPR until you return.

I have responded to them mentioning am not in Canada and moved back to India and also address change was done.
Can you pls advise how my application will now be considered/processed? I hope they won't give COPR as am not in Canada.
But will they give a PPR right away to get stamping (which can be used to travel) or will the application will get reassessed for criminality and other Background checks as I have moved out of Canada.
Your thoughts will definitely shed some light and give some understanding.

To issue you a COPR, you will now be sent a PPR and asked to submit your passport at the NDVO once the travel restrictions are eased and IRC starts issuing COPRS for applicants outside Canada.
Once a decision is made, no further checks are required and a PPR / COPR will be issued.
Just make sure that your passport / medicals are valid.
@legalfalcon , Thank you for the details. My medicals is valid till July 202q end. So incase if PPR is not sent by then, they would ask for another Medicals?
And does receiving the PR Confirmation Portal email means, the application is already approved? Because in my GC key login, even biometrics is not updated yet. .
