Can I change my country residence to Canada from India

Hi Everyone,

I received my CEC in September/OCT under Education trade stream while I came back to India. I got my visa converted as a visitor after my work permit was expired and I still have my TRV till next year August.

I am getting engaged to my fiance who is already a PR and I wish to accompany him to Canada in couple in Jan. Can I travel with him to Canada and change my country in my application through webform?
If yes what reason I can say at my airport for my travel.
Your help is greatly appreciated

You can attempt to visit Canada in January but what you are suggesting is not visiting Canada. You have much stronger ties to Canada versus to your home country. If you are able to enter Canada and you are able to visit for 6 months you can change your address to Canada.
