Hello All - received my GCMS notes today and saw that the status of my biometrics shows as - Poor quality. The VFS person had put in a comment that it is poor quality due to dry skin condition. Not sure if I should simply go back to the VFS and give the fingerprint again or should I reach out to IRCC through webform. If anyone has had a similar experience and can guide that would be really helpful. @legalfalcon
Hi @Hetal0990 . My profile looks almost similar to yours.
My AOR was July 23rd 2020. Eligibility: Passed (by agent), Criminality: In Progress, Security: Not started, Info Sharing : Completed
The thing is my fingerprints were also noted as of poor quality by VFS due to dry skin condition. I did my biometrics on 20th November and since then no any activity on my file. I called VFS and they said poor fingerprints were accepted in the past, but incase IRCC asks you to redo your fingerprints, get a letter from a doctor mentioning the reason behind poor quality of fingerprints.
I am worried if poor quality fingerprints are the reason for such delays.

@legalfalcon When I called IRCC customer care, they said that these days officers are doing work on the backend and are not updating information in the GC key in the real-time. They said your file could have been processed physically by officers and at last they will update all the progress. Is this possible ?
Also, since my Info sharing is complete, does that mean my fingerprints were accepted despite being poor quality? OR Infosharing can be done without fingerprints?

@Hetal0990 Please provide an update on your criminality check and fingerprints, once you receive information from IRCC. Thanks!

Yes :) everything was passed on December 14th, when I last rang they said it was on final decision
oh wow, im surprised that it took cic so long to make a decision in your case. I guess I wont be able to get COPR by the end of this year as my security even hasn't started yet. :(

I don’t know - some people have their security passed and go straight onto COPR. I’m not sure whats happened with my case, so I wouldn't give up hope!

The process of Requesting GCMS notes has no correlation with the processing of your file. Each happens under respective acts. GCMS notes are released pursuant to the Access to Information Act, where as the processing of your application happens under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

17 May AOR.

My eligibility has been passed in August (several times different agents confirmed that my eligibility has been passed), and my security has not been started yet, and the criminality is still in progress.

Today I called again, and the agent told me that my colleagues might be wrong and your eligibility might not been passed. We cannot tell what is the situation in your eligibility. The only correct way is to check your online account.

If you remember, I wrote a webform to them almost two or three weeks ago. My webform was as follows: Thank you for NOT investigating my background check during the past year. This delay just destroyed my life and my plans. you can leave my documents there for years and years.

Now, I believe they are changing their words, and somehow might decide to reject my application. I think this is dictatorship, and there is not accountability and no responsibility by Canadian government and IRCC. Therefore, I have decided to leave this country by the end of this month.

GOOD LUCK to all of you

Hi Guys,

My parents application was approved last year in March, but they couldn't travel here because of Covid. I commenced with IRCC last year and they assured me that once they can travel, send them an email and they will give further instructions.

Yesterday I got email from IRCC requesting my parents to do metical exam within 30 days. I am so confused, they did and passed the medical exam last year, and then their applicantion was approved.

Why do they need to do medical exam again? anyone heard of this?

Medical Passed-10 Sept 2020
Biometric- 01 Oct 2020
Eligibility- Under Review

Final decision-In process

The IRCC website says only CEC applications are being processed, does this mean Express Entry PNP applications submitted from within Canada are entirely on hold? Or when the site says applications submitted between July 02-09 are being finalized does this include PNP? Thanks!
