Hello everyone!
I am a 2019(August) graduate from Humber College. I have working for Rogers ever since I graduated and worked till November 2020. I am from India and my father passed away in novemebr 2020 so I moved back to India. I have workpermit till August 2022. I had almost given up on the entire idea of getting PR but the news of canada offering PR to everyone graduated after 2017 is amazing. I was wondering if I come back and manage to get PR will I be able to sponsor my brother and my mother to move there too? Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you.

You will be eligible to enter a lottery to sponsor your mother once you have returned to Canada, have PR, and have lived and worked in Canada for at least three years and meet the minimum income requirements.

How old is your brother? Whether you will be able to sponsor him as part of your mother's application will depend on his age at the time you apply to sponsor your mother.

Thank you for the quick response. So there is no way I can get my mom and brother her before 3 years? By brother is 13 right now.

Not to live in Canada. They may be able to visit short term, but they won't be able to move to Canada or live in Canada until they have PR which is still many years out. You need to get PR yourself first and then have three years of income in a row earned in Canada that meets the income requirements before you will be able to enter the lottery to sponsor your mother for PR (and include your brother). This is a lottery and there are far more applicants than spots available. So it's possible you may have to wait a few years after you qualify before you will be selected.

The good news is that your brother is quite young. He can be included as a dependent in your mother's sponsorship application as long as he is under 22 years old.

Just to add - the only way to get your mother and brother here sooner would be for your mother to qualify and apply on her own through an economic immigration program like Express Entry based on her level of education, work experience, English / French language knowledge, age, etc. She would basically need to qualify to immigrate on her own. That's the only way to do this faster.
