Hello

I am from Syria, and i was born in early 1990s, I am trying to apply for inland spousal sponsorship.

One of the required document is a Birth Certificate.

I asked my parents, they don't have it, it seems that at that time they don't issue a birth certificate in Syria at that time. i asked my relative there, they said that Syrian Authorities can issue to you a civil record, which show name, last name, parents name, date and place of birth, and some other info.

My question is can i use the civil record document instead of the birth Certificate ? or what do you advise me to do if i don't have the birth certificate?.

I have applied for PR for my wife from outside Canada. Am i able to apply for a study permit for her if she gets accepted to college/university in the meantime? That is a way to unite with spouse since visitor visa chance is negligible. Am i correct?

Hi guys,
For those files already transferred to a visa office, how did you get notified? Is it by message on Mycic (with email) just like for biometrics and medical?
Anyone knows for what possible reason(s) some files are transferred to Ottawa, instead of the standard regional visa office for the PA?

Either it will say in the sponsor approval letter or another email is sent to the sponsor. Not sure about the Ottawa question! I would assume it’s a straight forward case?

Question for anyone. Why are some people getting bio request before SA? This makes no sense to me.
Actually SA goes be4 BIO but some SAs get delayed due to RCMP checks. Every Sponsor is checked from RCMP database for any CRIM records, everything is reported and further gets logged in to GCMS notes, and it can be seen by ordering notes if any doubts.

That document as you wrote + put a Sworn Affidavit that real Birth Cert. is not found. Also they trust on School Certificates showing same name+Father's name+DOB. Also as advised by others may consult a Lawyer from that particular country , they must have dealt with similar cases

Hi Friends, I submitted a webform today to upload a document for outland spousal sponsorship application. I am the sponsor, currently a PR in Canada and principal applicant is in India. After entering her information in the 'Applicant' section and my info in 'Enquirer' section and after uploading the document, I was directed to final step. In this step, they asked to enter the email address and date of birth to protect identity. I am not sure whose email address and DOB they want us to enter. I entered mine. Now i am wondering if I should have entered my wife's email and DOB since she is the applicant. Anyone here been in similar situation? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello dear Members,

I have question regarding #7 on checklist proof of relationship to sponsor
I am currently living with my spouse in the country of origin, but I do not have any rental agreements or bills to prove so wondering proving cic with photos of wedding and different occasions along with identity documents issued by the local government would be enough or am I required to provide with chats translated as well.

I had the same question when I submitted docs. I used the sponsors email and DOB and it was fine.
