Dear @legalfalcon Thank you for your posts as I learned so much from them since I joined this forum. Just a quick question of the letter sample you sent here: I'm in Canada and my spouse who is on the same application is living abroad. Our case should be in the final stage, so under the current COVID situation, whether I will receive CoPR by email and directly become a PR, or I will also be requested to send my passport for a PR visa, just as my spouse? Do we have to land together? Thanks a lot.
Due to cOVID, there are no set protocols and they differ. Is you are in Canada and your accompanying spouse is not, and you have mentioned this in your application that you have different countries of residence, then you will most likely get an email to clarify this from IRCC.

Does foreign part time teaching experience gained while being a full time student in the foreign country count towards CRS points?
YEs, any work along with education if done outside Canada can be used to claim CRS points.

If you are in land, your COPR is already validated and you have become a PR as on the date listed on your COPR.

However, you can cal IRCC and inquire.

The process of landing at the border or an inland IRCC interview is no longer there.

Usually the first PR card would take 3-5 weeks, but many people have stated that it can take 2-4 months.

If you travel outside Canada you will need a PR card to return back. If you do not have a PR card then you will have to apply for a PRTD from the country you re travelling to.

Dear @legalfalcon Sir,

Thank you for your response. Could not respond earlier as had to travel outside of Canada due to family emergency.

Could you please help with your views on my current situation as it got changed with my recent travel outside of Canada.
Redrafting my situation and current status for your advise and suggestions,

I am an inland CEC applicant and have received CoPR. My PR has been confirmed in email recently and have asked me to submit the CoPR document and a photograph to apply for PR card. CoPR is valid till 5th Jan 2021.

Since I will not be able to travel back before the CoPR expires due to personal reasons wanted to check with you

1) If one can have the CoPR document and Photograph couriered locally to apply for PR card
2) Since I am outside of Canada, photographs are from local studio but are as per PR card photo specifications. Will there be any problem from PR card processing point of view.
3) Should I be informing IRCC on this temporary change in country of residence ?

Can you please advise here. Thank you.

1. YEs

2. No

3. YEs. However, the day you received your COPR, you became a PR. To travel back to Canada, if you do not have a PR card, you will have to apply for a PRTD. You should have informed when you changed your country of residence. This new mode of COPR delivery for inland applicants does not have much guidance. So it is better to contact IRCC and let them. know that you are not in Canada.

Hi @legalfalcon . I have similar situation as mentioned in the group. As per gcms notes, my file is approved but still waiting for copr. I have to travel mid next month (Febuary 2021) and am also thinking of marriage. I am worried what if I get copr while I am outside? Should I raise webform to ircc? If I dont get copr, i would like to add my to-be husband to application.
It has been 8 months since AOR and thought things would be cleared by now but it is not the case.
Your advice would be appreciated.

If you add your before you become a PR, your application will be re-opened and after your spouse's documents are processed a decision will be made again.

If you are outside canada while you get a COPR, you can inform IRCC if you will be in the country for the next 1-2 months and get a PR visa and COPR.

@legalfalcon perhaps you can help me.

I currently have a spousal bowp (pending apr) and I booked flight out of Canada which leaves tomorrow! I had to take this fight as I need see my mom. But a beautiful curveball is thrown at us as at the last moment, the status in CIC says our application is approved and that a COPR will be sent to us by mail.

Can I leave canada with my COPR and land at the port of entry when I get back? Or I will have a problem with my flight due to cancelled TRV or BOWP?

Hello everyone, thank you for this thread. I am in similar situation. I read it all but I am still confused. I am an inland CEC applicant and I had to leave Canada due to family emergency. I did my biometrics outside Canada after I left. I got an email about the new PR portal so I replied to them that I dont reside in Canada. I got another email the next day with new credentials for PR Comfirmation Portal. I replied again that I dont reside in Canada. What is gonna happen next? Will they relocate my file? How will the process change when I am not allowed to log in to the portal? Thank you for your help!
