Hi everyone, finally my approval letter came today!

Timeline: Application received May 30
Letter asking to expedite process sent July 14
Proof of education requested August 6
GCMS notes received August 29
Approval letter August 31

Here's the CRAZY thing: I NEVER received their request. I only saw it on my GCMS notes later. NOTHING ever showed up in my email or my online application. Once I saw it, I uploaded my proof of education via web form and emailed the VAC. Received approval after 1 day.

I had already done biometrics prior so didn't have to again.

2 valuable lessons:

1. Ask your employer to craft a letter requesting expedition. It can help.
2. Order your notes. You never know what may glitch in the system causing you to not receive notifications from IRCC.

Hi, My work permit LIMIA Exempt ICT role 2174 was submitted on 29th June from US for Toronto location. Bio-metrics done on 14th July at US . Still awaiting for approval. Anybody who has applied work permit in same role from US in last 3-4 months got approval? I am looking for idea how long would it can take for my case. For My colleague ICT Work Permit was applied for different Canadian Province on 5th June from US in same role and got approval 25 July and bio-metrics was done on 17th July. Does anyone know, are approvals coming for people whose case filled 3 months back? Looking for your kind reply.
Still waiting , Applied on 1 July, biometrics on 20th July.

I think I used this link: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

It's pretty standard. Just search in this forum or google GCMS notes.

I ordered the notes on Aug 12 and received on Aug 29.

My partner lives in Canada. But you can ask your employer to do this for you - technically, anyone living in Canada can do it. You just need to fill out and sign a representative form to authorize them to ask on your behalf.

If there is no one in Canada that knows you. You can also use the third party websites like https://getgcmsnotesbuddy.com/
It costs a bit more but I think that's affordable

ICT GSS APPROVED and Passport Request Letter received. See below for timeline:
- Application submitted on April 20, 2020 from USA with NOC code: 0111
- Biometrics Submitted at ASC on July 13th
- Sent letter on August 14th to IRCC at email: IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca on Employer Letterhead and signed by Employer to expedite application due to critical nature of role in Canada
- Application Approved on August 18th (2 business days after sending employer letter) and received passport request letter

Please be hopeful and if you can get employer letter to expedite processing, your application can be approved in 2 days!
Is it okay to order GCMS via 3rd party and not via employer?

Guys- who are getting approval for WP, are u able to travel to Canada with spouse ( with TRV/Open Work Permit) and Kids with Study Permit ?
This is unclear if dependents meet exemption criteria to travel to Canada.
Please suggest.

Hi @jazzfam how do you request to expedite the process? How did you contact them and did you get any replies based on your request?
