My sponsorship is still under Process from Jan 2020 and I am 12 June applicant. I am from Alberta and do you think that the application is stuck in social security? If so could anyone give me the number to contact them, and how can we ask them about the process? Thanks!
You are on same boat as many of us.
Lot of us are stuck in "Processing" since Dec 2019.
Don't bother calling them, if you read their social medias, all they are to tell you is

Due to COVID19, service disruptions, we are unable to provide accurate processing timelines. Please note that we cannot offer a response to any questions on the turnaround for processing of applications at this time.

Looks like my application is stuck and Whenever I check the status it says couldn’t find anything. I have the temporary application number from the email they send me back in 2019 asking for an additional doc.
how do I check the status if they haven’t provided the real application number? Thanks

I called Friday afternoon, 45 minutes waiting time, the agent
that I’ve gotten wasn’t very helpful. I think she just started. It’s awful when you get inexperienced agent. She was asking general questions and then asked if I want her to open the file to take a look. When finally we got into the file she says my parents need to submit biometrics, which is not the case, they are 81 and 84. Etc. When I asked if the officers are back to full capacity, she mentioned that I shouldn’t expect to complete the file within the time frame posted, now due to COVID-19 it might take 3 years or even 4, she is not sure. I dont know if she was authorized to say it. But this was my experience 2 days ago

What’s upsetting that they stated my application is missing a signature when I sent all the docs signed and we checked them in one by one probably 10 times before mailing them. If I knew I’d scan them as a proof which I hadn’t done. Anyways that’s pretty upsetting that they leave a certain number of people waiting for so long to see our parents.

Have your parents filled ArriveCan app or any other paper work?
They used ArriveCAN app and had filled all info prior to boarding; but again, there was no interest from the immigration officer to even look at that. Other than that, they just had goods-to-follow paperwork. They are at home now doing their 14 day mandatory quarantine, after which we will start the usual stuff - SIN / DL /Health Card / Bank A/C + Credit Cards / Phone Lines etc.

Also their ECAS status changed today reflecting Landing and becoming PR.

i don't know if they are back to working normal, I don't know what their office looks like or how many people are working there, if their office is just bunch of cubicles, they may not be back to normal yet. I'm working but I'm working from home, there is no way I can go back and work at the office.
If they can't work from home, they may be limiting how many can work in their office.
