Country specific for India, as I know is the birth certificate of the sponsor.
If you don't have original birth certificate, CIC is asking Aadhar card, Voter ID and School certificates.

Did your additional document request come with SA letter?

Yes the date on my letter is dec 20, received it today afternoon. On ecas it shows that processing started on dec 9. Unfortunately I am not able to link the application to my cic. I even tried making an account for my mom but it doesn't show me any option to link her application either. So I dont know the exact date the status got changed on ecas.

Since she doesn't have her birth certificate, I will submit her voter and adhar card along with certificates. Does any of these needs to be notarized?Yes it was listed in my SA letter as following:

Please note that the following documentation is required for your sponsored family members. If not already included in your application, please obtain and submit as soon as possible:
 Passport/Travel Document: Your relative must submit a copy of their passport. If your relative's passport has expired or will expire within the next 12 months, please have them apply for and submit a copy of their new passport with a validity of 12 months or more. Please ensure to include all pages of the passport.
 Biometrics (if applicable): On July 31st, 2018, biometrics became a requirement for some IRCC applicants. If your relatives are required to complete biometrics, they would have received a request for fees and an instruction letter with details on how to submit biometrics. If they have yet to submit biometrics, they should do so immediately. Biometrics requirements can be found on our website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp
 Police Certificate: For the principal applicant and dependant spouse (if applicable), please provide police certificates from:
 The country where they currently live; and
 Any country they have lived for six months or more (if applicable).
Your relative is required to obtain the police certificate from that country's law enforcement authorities. Please send a copy of the original police certificate to this office as soon as they receive it. Instructions to obtain Police Certificates can be found on our website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp.

Hello All,

I have request to update my application. I had received an email from CIC on September 25th to re-submit the IMM5669 form (with hand-written signature), which I did on October 1st. Since then, I have not heard anything from them. :(:(:(:(

Also, My application is for both mother and father. Can someone update that also?

Is someone in same situation as me?

Thanks in advance, and Good luck to all :)

Deepi

Hello guys - for those whose parents visited or lived in other countries in 80s and 90s - did u guys simply sent your PCC when requested or did you explain what was their status and time when you were in that country ?

Eg. My father was in Libya from 1995 to 2004. So when I am sending PCC - do I need to include the time and the status while he was there;?

Lol your application reached Ottawa on exact deadline. It looks like action movie
Sent the documents around 22nd june with 1 day delivery option. However , canada post messed it up. That week easily qualifies one of the worst time of my life. Now, I am just patiently waiting for the AOR. Hopefully will hear something soon
