ECA from University of Toronto Comparative Education Service (CES) - My Experience

- Yes, you have to scan both sides of your degree.Hello All - Planning to get my ECA through CES and have below queries. Please help with your thoughts/experiences:
- Is it mandatory to scan both sides of certificates while uploading in CES application?
- Can i send both degree+PG transcripts in single cover while sending courier to CES? (Degree + PG two covers kept in a single envelope while sending courier.... just to save courier charges)
- Can i send my transcripts on behalf of my university?
- Last but not least will i get PG equivalency for my B.com + MBA (3+2 years)??
Note: IQAS kept my application on hold saying my university is not in their approved list. Did MBA from "Badruka Institute of Foreign Trade" Hyderabad.
I wasted almost 6 months choosing IQAS, so please refrain IQAS and choose other options for ECA.

- CES asks two uploaded PDFs from you: one with the transcripts, the other with the awarded degree.
- You may forward the mail from your university, but it shall remain sealed to be accepted by CES and must contain the signed CES form you provided to your university plus any additional documents required for your country’s universities.

Sorry to bother you with many questions.... what is the signed CES form i have to provide? where i can get it? i went through the CES steps but could not find any or might be a miss from my side. Please share the link if you have any....thx
When completing your CES application, I remember it being towards the part where you engage yourself to contact your university to provide the required documents to the CES.
Their standards are close. To avoid any false hope, you should check with someone with a similar profile and degrees. Either way, unless you complete another degree soon, this unknown variable will certainly hold the same value. So count your points, go with the worst cases scenario and try to get more points on other questions.

I have a query regarding the ECA step. As per the WES tool, my 2 year MBA is coming out to be equivalent to Canadian 1 year degree. As the CRS cut off scores are going very high as per the latest trends, I want to maximize my education score by getting a master's equivalency.
Should I go ahead with CES instead of WES? Also, do I need to get my bachelor's degree evaluated for CES?

As far as I know, unless you live in around Toronto or you pick it up yourself, the only way to receive a copy quickly is to pay $32 for a duplicate to be sent by mail. And this one would be a softcopy, that's a digital version. The printed version, hardcopy, takes more time to arrive, way longer than 24h.

For immigration purposes, it would depend on your diploma of the highest degree. If they need any more proof or documents, they’ll ask you anyway. If you have two bachelors, then it’s trickier and email them beforehand.
Also, those institutions don’t seem to just make up their mind case by case, rather they use a systematic approach and a list of recognized universities. Processing tens of thousands of requests per year and being trusted by the IRCC doesn’t leave much room for chance.
