Hi All, I am asked to do remedical just now in an update from cic. It’s been more than 16 months since AOR. The issue is that I am going to move from my current address of residence at the end of this month and the remedical form has my current address. Should I get my address updated in their system or can I get remedical done and then get it updated? I just don’t want my application processing to be delayed more because of this address change. Please advise. Any guidance is much appreciated.

I applied on March 9th 2018. Medicals cleared within a week. Requested for GCMS report in october 2018 and recieved it in november 2018 . In the report it stated everything passed but security had not started . I requested for another gcms report and recieved it in july 2019. Still the same . Contacted an MP . She stated that my eligibility has not cleared and my employment is under review again even though 5-6 officers have cleared it. It went under review in may 2019. My current status (study permit) is expiring on the 31st august 2019. I have no clue how long it is going to take. Can you pls help as to what I can do . This whole thing is stressing me out.

Hey...my situation is very similar to yours..I am May 2018 AOR.....I think you should apply for study/work permit extension depending on your case (maybe you already have). Regarding your employment review, the best think I can think you could do is ask your MP to ask IRCC if you could give them any more documents (like reference letters from colleagues, more payslips, IT return forms, reference letter from HR is great etc. ) to give them much better evidence of your employment. That way its easier for them to pass your eligibility. Hope this helps!

How do I extend my study permit. I should enroll again into a course or should I just contact my college and see what can be done . On what basis do I get an extension? And I received an email from IRCC stating that my eligibility is still under review. Does anyone have any clue of how long that might take.

If your file is in process, you apply for a work permit extension, it is some specific category WP, and that will be open, they will grant you 99%, you should have applied already, you are eligible to apply 4 months before expiry of your WP.

check this link:

Dude, it is simple and as someone before me said, it is very likely you will be approved. You are running into the last month of the expiration. Please apply ASAP. The processing time is about 3.5 months, but until they make decision, you can legally work and stay in Canada. Do not waste even a single day. Make it easy on yourself and get it done. You will have to have valid medical that is done less than 12 months ago or you will have to do it again. Please, I suggest you get this done as soon as you can.
