I’m having an interview tomorrow but I have a problem...I need to bring my husband who is sponsoring me but he has high anxiety and he can’t come with me as we have to take a ferry to go to the office. Is there any other way like video chat in the office during the interview ?
Yes he must attend or else they won't issue the COPR, tell him there is nothing to worry about, it is an informal interview like going to Service Canada office, they ask you for IDs to confirm identity and 2-3 standard questions and that's it
Good luck!

Is the anxiety issue around the the ferry? I realize that the interview is tomorrow ~ how about a doctor’s note explaining the situation or alternately a seaplane?

Yes I phoned immigration and that’s what they said. The final decision is really up to the immigration officer but it will help if I bring the doctors note that explains his mental conditions and I’m also taking his mom

Best of luck! Remember to take his ID. And they can call him, if they need to talk to him. CIC agents are human, and understand that extenuating circumstances happens at times. High anxiety is a fact of life for some, and accommodations should be made for it. If the agent has an issue, you could ask to speak to the manager (but I really believe that you’ve got this and will be just fine).

Y’all meet your newest Canadian Permanent resident in town. I’m so happy, I did my landing interview today. The whole process was so interactive and chill, most of the questions were not even standard but some standard question like if I’ve ever been convicted, port of entry; when and confirmation of my mailing addy were asked.

It was a stressful process but I’m thankful for all you guys’ processing stories and experiences.

Special thanks to @Geno.uss I created this thread but u championed it. I hail u And for all you guys whose application is running, I hope you hear some goods news soon.

Y’all stay blessed and hope you all become PR soon.

Yahoo!!! Congratulations, @umarr.cole! Just like that, the long application endurance test finally comes to an end and your journey as Canada’s newest PR begins! Best of luck in all the adventures that lie ahead for you and your spouse. And thank you for creating this thread ~ it’s been my sanity throughout this process. And I second it about @geno.uss, who has been there throughout for all of us.

Thank you. My husband decided to come with me in the last minute. I’m sure it was such a hard decision for him to make as it ended up such a terrible trip because of his social and general anxiety but I finally got PR. I’m happy for all got it and good luck to everyone that’s waiting for it!!

Hey guys, i need help with my application which I am the sponsor and my wife is the applicant.

My SA say decision made however i did not get an email or letter stating what the decision is. It say that my app was starting to process on nov 9-2018.

For my wife the applicant, our timeline is
Oct 26 - received application for PR
Jan 28 - received medical
Feb 13 - received open work permit
May 27 - started processing application
May 27 - receive email for more information about proof of relationship
July 11 - cic sent application to etobicoke for further assessment

I submitted 30 page file regarding my proof of relationship which consist of our tax information, car insurance, phone bill, electricity bill, pension, purchase of condo, etc...

After I submitted all those information, they still sent my application to etobicoke. Should i be concern?
