My husband who is living in Sri Lanka was requested to provide Malaysia police certificate today. He was a worker in malaysia for only 6 months in 2011. He is now back in Sri Lanka. From what I’m read online, Malaysian police certificates are only given if you lived there for one year or more. It says that if you are requested for a police certificate and you lived there less than one year, then we must write “I cannot provide a police certificate for the time I spent in Malaysia because certificates are only available to people who have lived in Malaysia for one year or more.” My question is do we just simply write this to IRCC or do we still have to apply for police clearance in Malaysia and receive a letter from them that they can’t provide a police certificate for him? Please help

You still have to apply for police clearance in Malaysia and receive a letter from them that they can’t provide a police certificate for him

Are you sure? The website clearly states they can’t provide if he hasn’t lived there for more than a year. In the case that We still have to apply, How do We do that?

I think you should get an official letter from Malaysian authorities. I didnt know about the rule that only ppl who lived in Malayaisa for 1yr, get the PCC.
I applied online & my relative picked it from Malaysian consulate in Singapore.

Hi Guys,

I recently applied for my Canadian PR with my wife. I have previously studied in Malaysia and the IRCC has asked me to get a police clearance certificate from Malaysia within 30 days. I have already process my request through the Malaysian embassy's website but it is still in process and I am running out of time. It says that it takes 1-2 months to get it. Any leads on how long it takes?? also, Is there any way to speed up this process??

Thanks in advance,

cheers,

Hadi

Well not that I know of. They made ours within 2 weeks though. Search on forum regarding PCC & you might get help from the experts. In case u dont receive it within 30days, upload the receipt of application, as a proof that you did apply for Malaysian Certificate of good conduct but the delay is at their end. But

People who applied online for Malaysian PCC, did you face issues registering at the e-konsular website? I'm getting an error that my 'text verification is incorrect'.. it seems like a small problem but I can't move forward without it! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this helps.. But below was my experience regarding the Certificate of Good Conduct from Malaysia.
I had stayed for 9 months on Work Permit in Malaysia and had hoped I need not require a PCC as per the official IRCC site. But to avoid the risk at a later stage I thought of sending across a mail to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia ( skb_admin@kln.gov.my) so that I could attach the reply as an explanation if asked during my PR processing. To my surprise they replied within hours saying a PCC could be issued to anyone who had stayed for atleast 6 months.
Therefore, I immediately registered in the official site "https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my/en/" and submitted the application for the Good Conduct Certificate. The process was pretty easy and required some details of the passport, correspondence address, employer or higher education details etc. Below was my timeline:
24th Sep 2019 : Submitted
25th Sep 2019: In Process
27th Sep 2019: Ready for Collection.
Now my only issue is the collection from the Embassy in Mumbai as I stay in a complete different city and I dont trust the Postal option too. Fingers crossed.

Hi,
This has to do with you the "verification (Captcha)" incorrectly. I am referring to the random letters/numbers appearing at the bottom of the form as an anti-spam feature. It is case sensitive. If it is not clear, try re-loading it so you get one you can clearly identify and type in the section. Hope this helps.

Hi,
My wife submitted the Malaysian PCC application on the 4th of Nov. and the status changed to Ready for Collection on the 7th of Nov.

My question is, can we get the PCC from a Malaysian Embassy right away or does it take more time?

You can call them and inform about ready for collection, they will ask you to visit the next day.
