Wow, I have no idea as to the cause of the delay but I have read about similar stuff before. It's hard to be kept in limbo for that long but I hope it's worth it at the end.
Ok thanks am also praying the wait would be worth it.
Also if u know anyone who could be of help to me pls inform me

Thanks for the clarification. After my medical in June, my application was stuck in the "we are processing your application" stage. So like you, I use the IRCC webform to file an enquiry. I never got any response. So last Monday praying and trusting God, I had a very brief message on my online page which says "application/profile updated". I open the online account only to find there was no update. Then when I logged out and logged in again, the status had gone back to " submitted ".
I took the initiative to message the embassy processing my application. Take note, I submitted in Lagos Nigeria but my application was processed in Nairobi Kenya. I used "status of 8th May Study Permit application" as the subject of the mail.
Reminded them I still don't have a decision on my study permit application and that my school would resume on September 5th.
The following day which was Tuesday, I got a response saying " Good day, thank you for your enquiry. Please note that we have finalised processing your application and the decision will be sent to the VAC in the coming days. We hope this information suffices. Thank you for the interest you've shown in Canada". I was a bit relieved by this even though my online account never showed any update after that.
On Thursday, I got a mail from VFS saying my processed passport was ready for collection. On Friday, I went over and picked my passport and saw ma visa counterfoil neatly placed in it lol. Till I got to VFS and left, my online account was still in limbo. But after I picked my passport, I checked again, and it says "updated". Then later on, the status changed to "approved"
On Saturday, I got a mail to check my account and when I did, my POE letter of introduction had been sent to me.
I can tell how you feel with all this stress but believe me when I say you're not alone. You may want to follow my steps too and by God's grace, you would have your visa this week!
Thank God for u
I drop since on april 1
Wrote to the embassy yesterday and they sent me this today!!
We confirm that your file has been received at our office in Dakar. Your file is pending revision by an immigration officer.

Once a file is received at our office, it is processed chronologically based on the original reception date.

We will communicate with you by email when we will review your file in order to request additional information.

Am really worried abt the phrase pending revision!!!

Heyyy the visa got refused yesterday 1 year and 1 day after I applied imagine they took so long just to come to this conclusion
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status
I want to reapply and I kinda need help with my sop, I was told that if u are reapplying after a refusal that in your new sop u should address the reasons for your previous refusal so that's what I'll try and do later in this message.
In my last application my mother was the one handling it and I think our agent wrote our sop for us as we didn't even have any idea what an sop was until recently, I want to have more of a say in the sop as I think that's the only thing that could have made me get rejected or except my documents were not properly sent online
My personal assets and financial status I am a 16 year old what personal assets am I meant to have.
All I have is I am a director in my mother's company which is sponsoring my studying along with her personal account and the tuition fees we have deposited.

On the 1st reason purpose of visit I can explain like there are only 2 universities in Nigeria doing genetics (uni of calabar and akwa ibom state uni) can i be like i don't want them because of strike and all that and I don't even want the state uni coz I feel it ain't good enough and like they are doing genetics and biotechnology/cell biology, so I want to come to Canada and study that course so when I come back I'll be hotcake/highly sought after in Nigeria due to the few number of professionals/experts in the field of genetics and due to the reputation of the University of Manitoba (where I intend to go) (I can work in a hospital giving genetic counselling and stuff like that)
Please any assistance would be welcome

Its just to pray mate. Like really
Am doing just same ! Currently in the same case like you!
What bothers me is the fact that they have our passport and we cannot go to a different country .
To make a new passport in my country is a very long and costly process !!
I pray we all receive positive reply soonest

I applied on march 19 for may intake (on paper) those vo's didn't give me any decision so had to defer my may intake to sep intake. 95 days gone still no responses from the vo's. I think i should email to the high commision for query. I am really worried and under lots of stress.

I applied for visa (paper application) at Lagos visa office in May and just got a refusal in June, about 3 weeks after they started processing my application, because I did not give an SOP for reason to return back to my country after study and the visa processing time for Nigeria was 8 weeks.
