Hi in AdditionalDependents form Q12 what is the dependent Type?
a brother or a sister, so let's say you still have a brother or a sister that are 22 years old or younger, these will be under dependents category and you can sponsor them.

This question is for all those who have their parents in Canada now. Are you guys paying the Bio-metric fees? The guide says Biometric is exempted for applicants who are physically in Canada. However some are of the opinion that the fees should be paid or else the application will be rejected. Paying fees is not a problem, but what if they ask us to do bio metrics while our parents are still in Canada? In that case they would have no choice but to go to home country to get that done. That would be a night mare to send them just for Bio metrics.
Please advise.
Yes, You will have to pay the Biometric Fees even if they are in CANADA on Super Visa. My friends MOM was on present in CANADA on super and he was selected in 2018 intake. She still has to go through the Biometrics again here in CANADA.

Can someone please respond?
I did application for visitor visa for my in-laws and I didn't fill anything in native language even though it's written on top of form. Still no issue and visa was approved. This time I am doing the same.

Oh so additional dependent form does not apply for my mother as she is dependent.

1. Put 1 in imm 0008
2. No
3. Not needed in 5768
4. You should put 1 in 3A and 0 in 3B
5. put 2 in 2016 and 3 in 2017, 2018, 2019
Thank you Vivek.

Hello gents, I have several questions regarding our application. I will start with few...

My girlfriend is sponsoring her family, I am her co-signer. In one of the forms( IMM1344) there is a question: "In the five years preceding this application, did you become a permanent resident after being sponsored as a spouse, common law or conjugal partner?"

Back in 2014 we applied together for PR(we are in common law), she was with me in the application as her occupation wasn't eligible for PR, so I sponsor her as my common law. We received PR in 2015 and there were no any conditions for her(like conditional PR).
It is my understanding that only if she broke up with me and she have non-canadian partner that she want to sponsor now in 2019 she would be found ineligible, because she was sponsored under 5 year period. But we are eligible because we are applying under parents/grandparents category according to application guide, is that right?
Would I need to write down explanation about that or they would connect the dots as one of the first questions in other form is under which category you are applying.

This is from application guide:

If you answer “Yes” to any question between 5 and 15
  • You are not eligible to be a sponsor. You should not submit an application.
  • If you are sponsoring a parent or grandparent, this does not apply to you.

I'm assuming in 2014 you applied for PR under one of the streams under express entry and she was in the application as spouse/common law. Is that right? If it was like that, then she was NOT being sponsored as a spouse, but she was your dependant in the application.

For she to be considered "sponsored as a spouse" you would have to be a PR/Citizen by yourself and THEN had sponsored her on a separate application in the family class.

So the answer to "In the five years preceding this application, did you become a permanent resident after being sponsored as a spouse, common law or conjugal partner?" is NO.

This is common problem in Indian passports where Last name is not mendatory. Please use NA for the field.

Hi Garry, i am in same situation, should i use NA in given name or last name in this form. for all other forms i have left given name blank and put given name in last name as instructed.

I gave the actual last name even though it is not there in my passport. They have asked for last name.....not the last name as per sponsor passport. My parent passport has last name.
