Please help here. I got invitation to appply for parents sponsorship. My mother is on visitor visa and her 6 months is finishing on may 16. Is it okay to apply for her extension? I hope this will not create any issue in her pr process. Please answer

Yes you can apply for extension. Actually you should have already applied but technically you can apply before May 16. Approval isn’t related to PGP application.

While filling the form on behalf of my mother, the Question no. 12 on General Application Form IMM0008 is a bit confusing.

Question 12: Previous countries of residence: During the past five years have you lived in any country other than your
country of citizenship or your current country of residence (indicated above) for more than six months?

My mother is visiting us every year since 2016 and stays in Canada for less than six months each time. She has never stayed in Canada for six or more months in any single visit. However she has stayed more than six months cumulative across these years (2016, 2017 and 2018).

Shall I answer "Yes" to this question in the form or No on her behalf? I am very confused as the question is a bit ambiguous. Please help!!

No maternity EI does not fall under social assistance but EI benefits will not count towards income calculation.

EI payments are taxable income, meaning federal and provincial or territorial taxes, where applicable, are deducted when you receive them. This means it is sitting on your Line 105.

IRCC first. after that IRCC will send us a letter so we can proceed with Quebec CSQ.
