Hi can anyone please confirm, if I need to get the Photographs printed locally in the country currently my family is or I can get a digital copy and print it here in Canada from any store with their details on the back of the picture (I am not even sure if this is possible or not).

This question is for all those who have their parents in Canada now. Are you guys paying the Bio-metric fees? The guide says Biometric is exempted for applicants who are physically in Canada. However some are of the opinion that the fees should be paid or else the application will be rejected. Paying fees is not a problem, but what if they ask us to do bio metrics while our parents are still in Canada? In that case they would have no choice but to go to home country to get that done. That would be a night mare to send them just for Bio metrics.
Please advise.

I have my tax returns from the US. It is not mentioned anywhere that I am not eligible to apply if I’ve not lived in canada but it does say IRCC needs my tax returns within canada, it’s some sort of grey area...
you cnt apply and if u did without canadian income your file will be rejected. IRCC will only consider line 150 income from tax return. Any other income from any other country will not be considered. Personal experience from last year happened with my cousin straight out rejection.

Thanks.
The certificate card only shows year and month, but not on which day. any other ways to find out?
It is not the "Card". Mine is the paper and it has the "Effective date of citizenship" at the back which show full "year/month/date".
Have you ever attended Citizenship test and Citizenship Oath Ceremony by the way?

I have a question regarding form imm5768.
Both I and my spouse got the invitation to apply for parents. Both of us are co-signing each other parents as well. So a total of 6 persons for LICO.
I am not sure what to fill in question 3 and 4.
Current undertaking: 2 (my parents)
Shall I keep both myself and my spouse previous undertaking as 0? By doing this the total number of persons in the form is 4.
What should I do?

Yes you are supposed to have filed taxes in Canada.

You can try applying and write an explanation letter since you do meet the income requirements.
straight out rejection he will get. Why are you even giving him false hope . Dont understand this. Doesnot matter you can show or provide funds but you have to have filed taxes in canada for last 3 years . No way around it.

And that exactly is my concern. Paying fees is not an issue as they will ask bio metric sooner or later anyways !

MY parents have visited me before on tourist visa,
The form IMM0008 doesn't allow to enter the date and place of last entry to Canada

And what would be the UCI number, there is nothing listed on the Tourist visa? Please help

Yes I’m doing the same. Remember all signatures have to be original “wet signatures”. If they have access to a printer you can email them the blank forms, they print sign and courier back, then you sign here. My parents don’t have a printer let alone a computer or internet so am couriering both ways. Courier to and from India takes 4 days each way.
Which courier are you using?
