Are there NOC 3012 here who received ITA and nomination from New Brunswick even without the NNAS application or license?

Sharing your experiences would be helpful for those hopefuls. Thank you..

Hello, thanks for the reply..my NOC is 3012, registered nurse and I believe it is in demand everywhere in Canada. I have included my husband in application but non accompanying and it can affect my CRS. Sorry for the misleading explanation.

I'm targeting the info session if possible this coming months either here in UAE or Philippines. So if ever the EOI will be open with the info session as a connection to NB, will it be fine if I will edit my EEP and include my husband as accompanying so that when the NB will check my profile, they will see it? It will not affect my EOI score only in CRS.

During the EOI was opened in your batch, was NOC 3012 registered nurse was included in the in demand list who can submit the EOI?

When I attended the information session last year, NBPNP were mainly targeting IT professionals and people in the Food service and Customer service industries e.g. admin, cooks, bakers, etc.

I do see that currently NBPNP are holding job fairs in Mauritius where one of the NOCs listed in 3012. If you can possibly attend this job fair (registration seems to be open still), and hopefully be offered a position, then the immigration process will become much easier since you will be immigrating with employer support.

If you attend an info session, you will have to get a Canadian licence (I think it involves verifying all your qualifications plus writing an exam) to practice as a nurse as it is a regulated profession - I doubt you will get an ITA/nomination without the licence.

Remember if you get provincial nomination, you get 600 additional points for your CRS score, so it doesn't matter then if your CRS is low. 600 points alone is enough to receive an ITA. Unless you are trying to get a direct ITA from CIC and need to boost your score for that, I would recommend including your spouse and child as accompanying when you create your EE profile.

Example case:

Current CRS score (including spouse) : 360
Current CRS score (excluding spouse) : 380

CRS with nomination (including spouse) : 360 + 600 = 960 - guaranteed ITA from CIC
CRS with nomination (excluding spouse) : 380 + 600 = 980 - guaranteed ITA from CIC

So you see, if you receive the nomination, there is no need to put your spouse as non-accompanying in your EE profile

Hope this helps :)

So is it fine if I will just include my spouse after I received nomination? Do you think that's possible because in EOI submission, they are already asking for the EEP and Job seeker validation code, right? therefore they will most probably check my profile.

I actually posted here if there were some from my profession, NOC 3012 who got ITA and nomination under NBPNP because in PEI PNP, they give ITAs for nurses but i need to take again IELTS to get higher score in EOI.

Also, if I will attend a job fair, my chances are still slim since I don't have a license yet in NB. In September 2017, they opened EOI with the NOC 3012 as one of the occupation who can submit EOI. It's seasonal I think they are allowing Nurses to apply for EOI during its opening dates.

I'll just try and possibly look on other PNP options also. It's hard on my part cause we need to study there before we can have the license and the only way to do that is to have a PR.

Having lots of patients is what I need now, hope everything goes well in shaa Allah.

Since your profession is regulated all over Canada, whichever province you decide on, the license is a must.

I am pretty sure you have to get the registration done first before applying - since you need to first have your current qualifications verified for equivalency and then apply for the provincial licence/exam.

So (as I am sure you already know) you have to do the NNAS assessment first. When the assessment is underway, you can create an EE profile (remember this is valid for 1 year from the day you create it) and get an EE profile number and Job Bank code to use in your EOI submission to NBPNP or another province.

In the meantime, if the NNAS is positive, the next step is applying directly to the Nursing medical board in your chosen Province or Territory. Every province/territory will use the NNAS result as the basis for bench-marking your international nursing skills, experience and qualifications against those laid down by their respective Nursing Boards.

Usually, one of two outcomes occurs at this point. Either an application will progress with you being invited to sit a final nursing exam leading to full licensing and registration, or you will be invited to undertake a bridging course of study.

Once you have your nursing registration and licensing, it shouldn't be long for you to get nomination from a province and consequently an ITA for PR from CIC

I would also suggest that if possible, you should definitely take your IELTS exam again to see if your score can be boosted

All the best and in Sha Allah it works out positively!

Thanks a lot for your reply. Maybe I'll just submit EOI at NBPNP if ever I get the chance and Nursing as one of the occupations that are allowed to apply and if I didn't get an ITA, it means that they need my license.

Other provinces are giving ITAs without nursing license as it is in demand in their provinces like Nova Scotia and Prince Edward.

I plan to apply at NNAS by October as I will be turning 5 yrs that time on my current work and company. Also I'm already done with the nursing exam(NCLEX) and you don't have to retake it because the exam result is recognized if taken outside Canada. Im planning to retake my IELTS hopefully by June and I did as well my ECA from IQAS, previously from WES because they said IQAS recognizes Masters degree from Philippines and it will boost my score if I can have the Masters equivalent to Canada and with CLB 9-10, my score will skyrocket to CRS 454, hopefully..

I hope I can also have my share of Canadian dream in shaa Allah..I believe in the power of Faith and prayer..

NBPNP doesn't have a program for international students for PR.
However you can apply for PR through Express Entry and use your Canadian education for points, once you have completed your studies.
At the moment, if you want to study for your Masters degree in New Brunswick, you will have to apply for that at UNB or another uni in NB, and once accepted, apply for a study visa through CIC

Thank you @NzKhn for your reply, my question is - if i complete a 1 year studies in NB, I will get work permit. What kind of job will help me apply in NBPNP EOI and eventually get me a PR.

Depending on which designated learning institute you apply to and get accepted in, you can then apply for a PGWP after graduation, and that can be used for applying for PR, if I am not mistaken.

Please see the below link from CIC, it has all the information you need about PGWP including the designated learning institutes and how to check eligibility
