For the ones who received the OWP email already, hace you received the letter by mail?
We received OWP on March 1 and I saw many people received by mail a couple of days before... Today is our 5th day and I'm starting to worry

There is nothing to worry about. You can login to your CIC account and check your application status. If it says approved, then your OWP is already mailed out and you should receive it soon in your mail (which you already have now). You will not get any other letter in the mail from the government. They notify you online about your OWP and you can see the message in your CIC account.

Sorry to hear.. we applied on 31st Dec, I had been told that our application is waiting to be processed and is not entered in our system. it is normal and prospective application and should get the acknowledgement shortly.
Now we are worried what they mean and do for prospective application. My wife 6 months entry is expiring on 10th may.

They told me the same thing, and it seems like they waited until the last day of my visa expiry date and sent the folder back next day. I was over stayed only 2 days on my TRV entry when I got the folder back from them. That’s awful !!
Now I am going through restoration of status and once I file restoration of status and than I will be able to file PR + OWP afterward. I wish you good luck and really hope that it wouldn’t happen with you and you will soon get your AOR.

Same here.
I am Dec 5 applicant and I called them on Friday and they told me my file wasn’t even in the system yet.

Me too! I am dec 19 applicant, and they sent my file back after 2 and half months for little error. They confirmed me twice that you are in system as prospective applicant and don’t worry you will get your AOR soon. But I got my folder back instead !!! I wouldn’t easily trust the information IRCC representative provides over the phone.

It seems most people were able to link soon after linking PR. Make sure you change the options to find work permit application

Well I did the same day. I think you would have gotten it back by now if they'd return it

in my case, it took me 2 days

This worries me more now.

You can always apply for an extension of your Visitor Status up to 30 days before it expires. If i'm no mistaken, you said your status is valid until May, right? In this case, you can prepare the documents and wait until April. If you don't hear from them until then, you can apply for an extension and you'll be in implied status while you wait.
