Called CIC today and the agent said background check hasn't been completed yet. Last time I called, eligibility was recommended pass and criminality passed, so I guess he was referring to security not being completed yet.
He said I can expect a positive communication within 14th of March.

HOPEFULLY, YOU SHOULD HEAR FROM THEM BEFORE THAT TIME. HAVE YOU SEEN SOMEONE ELSE GIVEN A DATE BY CIC? DID THE PERSON GET PPR BEFORE, ON OR AFTER THE A STIPULATED DATE?

Hi Everyone, I called IRCC for the first time today and spoke to a really polite and helpful agent. I was informed that my file is at Ottawa and my eligibility has been met however background check has not begun yet and that she does not have any visibility on when that will start too. Any comments here please on the basis of your experience with LVO Ottawa? Thankyou!

Guys I have a question related to sending photos along w/ passport to Canada for CoPR. I was able to get the photos with the right dimensions at Walgreens. However, when I got the printed copies, the White background appears to be light grey. The background is still discernible, however it doesn't appear to be "plain White" as stated in the requirements. Can any one comment on if this is going to create any issue ?

I have asked the guy to edit the background but that also changes the shade on face ever so slightly. I am a little confused. I would like to know if people who have already had their pictures taken at Walgreens faced similar issue or what can be done ?

Sept 27 - IRCC requested RCMP PCC. Any idea why they would request such a thing? I feel like this is uncommon.
Oct 18 - RCMP PCC submitted

It is not uncommon for Canadian Police Report to be requested. The officer chooses to request for it at their discretion. Also, it's not common as you think because people provide it upfront.

Thanks. I just thought it was uncommon as I haven't seen anyone being requested a Canadian PCC on this thread.

Just do a quick search on the forum for the number to call within Canada. Ask for the status of your eligibility, criminality and security. You want to know if they are passed or started

It should be 50mmx 70mm, not the passport size.
For my visitor visa, I did take one at Walgreens and there was no problem with the light grey or blue hue.

Here on forum, I think few people were told their applications would be completed by June. Hopefully they would be completed asap.
March 14 marks completion of 6 months, my aor being 14th of sept.
