It depends on your definition of good when it comes to consultants. Don’t take me wrong but any particular reason you wish to go through a consultant?

Of course. I’m based here too and my husband and I did visit some of these consultants before starting the process but trust me it’s not worth it.

I don’t know what stage you are at but IELTS and ECA is managed by you. Qualifications and experience you’ve already gained. Only typing the profile and forms is left to be done which I’m sure you can do. Then what do you pay the consultants for?

True we read a lot about these guys shutting down and some of my friends have had horrible experiences following up with these consultants. If you have a decent score, all you need is the information on CIC website and this forum.

Good luck

WES can issue a new report if there is no policy change pertaining to your country and institute. In case there is a change in the way they process degrees from the college you attended, you may have to go through the whole process again.

You can write to them and they will clarify this to you.

Also, once you have everything ready then you may decide if you need additional support from a consultant. In the end it’s your choice. Some people are too busy to do on their own and some are too lazy. But as long as you have genuine documents and clear history you will be fine either way.

Hello.

I am planning to do my Masters degree in MBA in Ajman.

Can someone guide me on how to ensure that the university I am planning to attend will be accepted by WES as a Masters degree.

The university I am planning to join is recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education. The program has 36 credit hours (12 courses) which can be completed in 12 months (one full year).

Hello guys do I need to upload my uae resident visa even if it is on my in valid passport (I issued a new one after issuing my visa). The problem is that the company on my visa is different from the one I got my experience from (you know how it is the quota issue and stuff) also it was issued 3 months after my joining. So i want to avoid all the questioning what do you guys think how I could explain that.

Can anyone share their experience on how you transferred the money from UAE to Canada? I checked with Scotiabank and they said that transfer form UAE is not possible. It would be great is anyone can share their experience

You can opt for TD. I transferred money from Dubai to Canada twice without any issues or any charges from TD

Thanks for the suggestion I did check the TD website but they don't seem to have any option to open an account before landing
What was your question first ? About transferring the money now you are adding another question about opening the bank account...
TD does that too..
https://www.td.com/ca/en/personal-banking/solutions/new-to-canada/banking-options/

Also RBC has similar options https://www.rbc.com/newcomers/permanent-residents-in-canada.html

But RBC will charge you for inward remittance
http://www.rbcroyalbank.com/products/deposits/wire-payments.html

RBC charges you for account maintenance (after certain period)

Thanks, I am currently in UAE and not yet landed. I want to open a bank account and transfer the money. The TD link only mentions China and India as eligible countries. I did call Scotiabank’s call center but they said that transfer from the UAE is not possible and we can only register for new comers service.
That leave me with RBC as the only option. Seems like 17$ for inward remittance isn't that bad

Call TD and discuss the options. They cannot have facilities just for Indian and Chinese nationals.
