I'm not worried I was told that I was approved. I already passed the normal processing time. I'm tired of waiting I had enough that's all. Don't think when you say a few weeks is a good thing. Many applicants that applied after me have attended the landing interview already.
If you're waiting for the interview appointment, it can take 4 weeks to get a time scheduled. If it's longer than that, the only thing you could do is to call them or send another webform...Good luck!

Yay!!! Yes short notice indeed! Luckily my husband is working night shift next week for the interview. Lol poor hubby will be tired though.
Ohhh...poor hubby!!! We had to pay so much extra in air fairs now. But I am not going to complain...we are at the end of this, right? So, yippeee...

I am just sharing a post from a very reliable source in this forum @sylvain1 . This is pretty much what you would have to do and what to expect.

https://www.ourcommons.ca/parliamentarians/en/constituencies/FindMP
enter your postal code. After you click find MP, you will see the name and the photo of your MP. Click on the name, you will get phone number and email to join his office.

The best is to have the sponsor to make the first contact, especially if the sponsor has Canadian citizenship. Then, you cannot ask a Mp to have your application processed faster, at least not directly. You can ask his help to find if there is anything missing in your application or if there is any reason to explain why your application is not processed in the normal 12 months timeframe. You can also mention (if that is the case) that you tried several time to call the call center, but it's very difficult to get a line. You could possibly ask the MP if he/she can help in asking IRCC to at least issue the first stage of approval (SA and AIP), as IRCC should already have everything required at this point to make a decision on that.

There is no guarantee it will help, but it might be worth trying.
Thanks for the explanation

Thanks and yes I have been waiting more than 4 weeks. I will just keep waiting or maybe try to contact the MP like some good people suggested here. Good luck to you too

Hi guys,

I did my landing interview yesterday! I am happy to finally be a PR of Canada. Thank you all so much for your support this past year and good luck to everyone still in process.

I have one question though, my passport expires in January and my CoPR expires on the same date. How do I go about working if I have not received my PR card yet? My employer wants to have my PR of course. They say it can take up to 60 days to get the card... what if it's not in the mail before my CoPR expires? Can I legally work?
You are already a PR regardless of the COPR expiration as long as you did your landing appointment already. The PR card is just for traveling back to Canada. To answer your question, you can legally work. Just make sure you have already updated your SIN from Service Canada.
