Hi guys,

I did my landing interview yesterday! I am happy to finally be a PR of Canada. Thank you all so much for your support this past year and good luck to everyone still in process.

I have one question though, my passport expires in January and my CoPR expires on the same date. How do I go about working if I have not received my PR card yet? My employer wants to have my PR of course. They say it can take up to 60 days to get the card... what if it's not in the mail before my CoPR expires? Can I legally work?

I don't think you should worry that much. I had the same reply to my webform request and that means your requests/questions are forwarded to the office who are dealing with your case. They will give you an answer in normally a few weeks time. I actually called the IRCC and spoke to an agent after I got the webform reply but what the agent could do is the same, sending another notification to the office. If you already got this webform reply, the agent wouldn't send another message to the office or do anything unless it took longer than the normal time and you didn't hear any news. The time varies from office to office.
I'm not worried I was told that I was approved. I already passed the normal processing time. I'm tired of waiting I had enough that's all. Don't think when you say a few weeks is a good thing. Many applicants that applied after me have attended the landing interview already.

Oh sorry, I might have forgotten about it. That's great that you had you relationship interview! That means it'll soon be over. Did they give you a date when you will have a decision?

The guy interviewed me first then at the end ask me if there's anything I have your say to him to prove this is a ligit relationship , and of course I talked ...he escorted me out and went for my husband then he asked him almost same questions n then he told him that he see that our relationship is a legitimate one and he will mail us , he didn't mention anything about being out of status, or why did my son go to school without status, nothing like that, it's a long haul from August 4 until now

Well, I am happy to report that I got my landing interview appointment finally for November 23rd! Short notice and during the week my son is visiting for a few days, whom I haven't seen in almost a year, but I am happy and relieved to finally get the appointment!
Yay!!! Yes short notice indeed! Luckily my husband is working night shift next week for the interview. Lol poor hubby will be tired though.

How can this help if I can do the same?
I am just sharing a post from a very reliable source in this forum @sylvain1 . This is pretty much what you would have to do and what to expect.

https://www.ourcommons.ca/parliamentarians/en/constituencies/FindMP
enter your postal code. After you click find MP, you will see the name and the photo of your MP. Click on the name, you will get phone number and email to join his office.

The best is to have the sponsor to make the first contact, especially if the sponsor has Canadian citizenship. Then, you cannot ask a Mp to have your application processed faster, at least not directly. You can ask his help to find if there is anything missing in your application or if there is any reason to explain why your application is not processed in the normal 12 months timeframe. You can also mention (if that is the case) that you tried several time to call the call center, but it's very difficult to get a line. You could possibly ask the MP if he/she can help in asking IRCC to at least issue the first stage of approval (SA and AIP), as IRCC should already have everything required at this point to make a decision on that.

There is no guarantee it will help, but it might be worth trying.
