Don’t believe the “everybody is different and background check takes different amour of time “ excuse, which is just a load of crap - for my PR it only took a month, but 5 years after that while having been physically here the entire time , it suddenly became so much more complicated and they had to take much longer to do the same thing ? Lol

I know that this is a bs... My PR application took from sending it to finalize 2,5 months. Now I am here and now takes forever.

It would have been much more convincing if they just tell me the truth , that you are just unlucky and ended up with a lazy/slow/ineffective case officer, while other people just were fortunate enough to be processed by someone else

Exactly. beside that I applied for urgent processing becasue of my work. The answer with my current citizenship is no need to be urgent.

I just requested to see them again. Last time they sent me a copy that was last updated 8 months before the requested date.

Sounds like you know exactly what they are doing, Please explain what is going on in the background otherwise you're the one just spouting complete hearsay. It's known that certain countries have more screening, and if you match with someone that has a similar name, they investigate further etc. You should really stop spreading your (very bad) ideas as fact.

Sorry, but you're the one trying to lecture. I said prove your statements, and you can't. But sure, keep pretending like you're holier than thou.You're the one making accusations that officers are lazy and don't know what they are doing, so I'm fine with that, but you're not providing any proof of that, just anecdotes.

I think the complete lack of transparency in this bureaucratic process makes it even more confusing and makes us believe that everything is being done on ad-hoc and random basis. The GCMS notes basically don't show any detail from which we can get a clue why is it taking soo long. Also you are right, there is no country specific criteria for screening / security check purposes. I have seen people with my nationality who came to canada on exact same day as me got their test and oath in few months after me while we are waiting here almost an entire year with no updates. I think we all are being processed by that one (or couple of ) lazy guy/s and are being stuck forever....still....it's better than having to wait for PR when your temporary status is expiring.

There is. Pls read my Background Checks Explained thread at FSW. The process is similar for citizenship application/s as well.

And I saw that ID replied to my post again after my repeated statements that I refuse to discuss anything with him, and have no interest in what he has to say... that level of attention-seeking is just amazing lol, so I will just keep ignoring his replies hahahahahaha
