Any help is greatly appreciated as I am not in Kolkata hence personally going there is not an easy option for me. Please help out.

So finally I got the ECA report. The overall status changed to evaluating final report on Aug 1, and I received the final report today.
Good luck to those who still awaiting the results!! Cheers!

Hi,

Is there any chance for Wes to send third verification request to university?

Currently, my profile is on hold for second verification. My university has sent their first verification response via snail indian registered post. It took almost 1 month to reach WES. Soon after, it reached there , my status changes from on hold to evaluation in progress. After couple of days, my profile was again put on hold for second verification from university. I am really worried about this situation.

Please share your thoughts on above.

@arora_mayank please do not poke WES on expediting the report for you. I understand you do not want to miss the next crucial ITA. I am a valid example and have suffered due to extra calls made to WES. My Account was put on hold twice giving the same reasoning of verification, dont want the same thing to happen to you. I was the first to start this thread and turned out i was left behind in receiving the ECA due to my foolishness. It is better to work on your post ITA docs and submit profile quickly to make up for time lost on ECA than trying to convince WES for an earlier ECA. Hope this helps.
Hi
Have you received you eca.

Hello Everyone,

I am facing the similar issue. My ECA application has been put on hold saying document is sent to UPTU/AKTU(Uttar Pradesh Technical University) for verification.
I tried contacting university on their landline and they said they cant handle all requests personally, they will do verification according to their time.
It already took 2 months to get the transcripts and i am not sure how much time they will take to verify it.

I am just loosing hope, what should i do to expedite the process?
Looking for help.

Today I got my WES completed. Thank you so much @Jaywalker and @Nishika22 for helping this throughout!

-Credential: Master of Business Administration
-Awarded By: University of Delhi
-Major/Specialization: Business Administration
-Canadian Equivalency: Postgraduate diploma (one year)

I see that my 2 year full time MBA has been taken equivalent to 1 year PG Diploma. Could you share if this impacts the points in Express Entry Profile? Also, what impact does it have, in case I land up in Canada and float my resume. Will I have to show my 2 year MBA as 1 year diploma on my Resume?

I see - Given the complexity here - I would then suggest to use fax - both the departments verifying the authenticity will fax their individual documents (degree, transcripts) along with a letter on DU letter head certifying. They should include the unique ref number. Email will be an issue because if they will send from some other email id then WES may not even accept the verification.

It will have an impact on CRS points as you cannot claim points for masters. But once in Canada it will not have any impact. You will mention your degree as it was given to you in India.

Are you 100% sure, sir.
Here is a screenshot of all Degrees that one can apply for at the official CRS website

There is no entry for 1 year Post Graduate Diploma . So does that mean i cannot use I cannot use this anywhere?
The second last entry is for Master's degree or Professional Degree.
IIMs also provide Diploma courses. By any chance do you know how is there degree qualified?

@Mkface03 You will have to select 1 year program at university for this MBA. I am assuming that you have got the bachelor’s ECA as well? So you will be able to claim points for 2 or more degree’s. It will have an impact on CRS for sure because had they evaluated this as master’s you would have got more points.

AFAIK full time 2 year MBA from IIM’s are evaluated as Master’s.

Thank you!
By any chance would you know why they would do that, given I have 2 year full time MBA. Also, my Birthday is in 3 weeks. Is there a way I can fix this issue before I loose 5 points for the age?

442 with a Master's Degree. With the other option of "Two or more degrees, with one of min. 3 years", it is 435. Both these points will reduce by 5 in about 3+ weeks.
So you are at 435 now and 430 in 3 weeks. CRS is unlikely to go down to 435 for next draw. And also unlikely to go down to 430 thereafter for a long time . So if I were in your situation I would try it out with WES for sure. Also see if you can improve IELTS if you have not maxed out already.
