My parents applied for Visitor Visa Online from India for Canada on 18th May 2018 but still have not received any update yet. They want to meet my elder brother who has a study visa and is currently studying there. The average processing time of 28 days is already exceeded. Can someone please tell why there has not been any progress in this regard? My dad and mom both are government employees so why are they hesitating in giving the Visa?
Whom should I contact for quick redressal of the concern as its already 45 days since the date of applying for Visa?

Here is the status that I have been seeing everyday with no change at all:

I don't know what time they are taking. My mom's brother applied for Visa through paper application on 19th May and received it on 7th June. It just seems that they have sidelined our Visa application.

As the visa office has started reviewing their eligibility, they will most probably get decisions soon. They are lucky that no background checks are being done which could delay decisions.

You can send a Case Specific Enquiry/IRCC web form to request their local visa office to expedite the decision

Well the Visa office has been reviewing the same since 15th June(This was the only time an update was given). Why has no decision been taken since then?

Visa decisions can take time. There's no hard and fast rule that applications must be decided by a certain date.... or certain processes will always take X days for all applications

Hey @Bryanna please help. Even now after more than 8 weeks there has been no change in application status. I even sent web enquiry and emails too, but have not seen any update being done. What else should I do to expedite the decision process as it's now 59 days since applying.
