We keep coming back to this same thing again and again. Why you guys make it so complicated? We cant know for sure what is the average no of admission per successful applicant? So just think it this way. The target last year also were 71000+ and they issued 84000 ITAs to fill up the target. So this accompanying spouse, dependant and all that equation were present last year as well. This year they are targetting even more. So why all of a sudden you guys start talking about admission and all that crap? I really dont underdstand.

Another thing, every week there are 300-400 PNP nominated profile in the express entry. As far as I remember PNP admission target is different. If they are eating up quota from original FSW then I am sure those ITAs will be excluded from the total target.

Regarding ITAs topic, I agree that they are targetting more than 84,000 ITAs for 2018.

In my opinion, considering that 16 draws are remaining (and hopefully we may see bigger quotas... hopefully soon 4,000), around 88,000 ITAs could be issued during 2018 (specifically under FSW program). Last year they issued 84,685 ITAs (and the target was lower).

So... there is hope for us with CRS lower than 435.

As its Ray of Hope Thread, and I have been accused of pessimism multiple times :P here is an optimistic theory from my side, finally :P IRCC has issued 28k ITAs in first 20 weeks of this year. At this rate, at least another 48k ITAs will be issued in next 34 weeks of 2018, bringing the total to 76k, which is equal to the PR quota set for 2018. Now I think I am going to agree with Reddiered07 that the quota is not for the family members, but only for the main applicants.

Also agree with you now. They always keep room for rejected application. So ITAs should be well above 80k this year.

Very well said @special3220 !!! @NOMAD2017 stop collecting the data on #of dependents and stop trying to reduce ITAs going to be issued !!! Don't eat our brains:)
If we stop posting or asking question, how will we learn? sorry bro, but get your brain ready for the feast, because that's my most favorite activity :P

Hi, it depends... How much are you ready to spend in time (only a couple days/ week or at least 5 days/week) and in money (a private tutor is better than a general course, but it´s way more expensive also). Also, it depends of your skills at learning a new language (if you are a person who already is able to use several languages, it may be easier to you).

Personally, and after listening to other opinions regarding this, if you are starting from zero, to reach CLB 5 level you should have done at least 9 months of intensive course. CLB 7 (4 abilities) is more difficult to obtain, and maybe at least 1 1/2 year of intensive study. Writting and speaking are the toughest to achieve.

Anyway, it is always a good option to start learning French... Good luck!
thanks, it leave me in dilemma.

just asking, if one have CRS 431 then what should be the next step...
lot of my friends suggest to wait and watch, but i am bit impatient or probably don't like to sit idle and wait...

Hi,
Targets (74,900 admissions for 2018) are number of new permanent residents, counting primary applicant and each dependent.

Read this properly, and you will agree with Red guy. I was also told that the quota was inclusive of family members, that is why I have been so pessimistic since I joined ROH. but now it just dawned on me, thanks to Mr. Red's brain that I ate :p everything makes sense now. ROH is now back in my life :p

@NOMAD2017 @special3220 @Reddiered07

I have seen lot of discussions around the no of ITAs issued.
Does any one has idea regarding the ITAs issued late last year but the PR file got processed this year only??
same might happen this year, as for most of the cases the PR file take around 3-5 months to get the visa stamped.
I believe its more complicated than what we assume or think.

I am just hoping for the cut-off to reach 439 in tomorrow's draw and you get out of this forum!!! So that the ROH family would see less number of disappointing posts!!
Nice wish, in not so nice way. You are a champ of sarcasm :p.

Hello,

Before you start debate about No. of ITA's per year, you need to calculate the number for the last year... Is the number you are referring to in the above posts from April 2017 to March 2018? OR it goes from Jan to Dec which is wrong.

As we observed and been informed quota goes from April to March.

Congrats!! You succeeded at the 2nd attempt.

I also took TEF twice... but in my case, both times same results L10 R10 and S&W CLB 8. :( And that exam is not availble in my country so, if I want to retake it a third time, I would have to spend additional money for flight tickets and hotel. :(

For me too was hard, but not so difficult.
I had to go to another city to take the exam (600 km away), but at least in the same country.
Be strong! Next time is gonna be the good one
