Hope 440s entered even on may 10th get a chance to drink beer:) I am a late entry :)
Your score is 440. Good luck. Hope you get ITA tomorrow.
it's simple rule folks anybody 425+ till next Jun ..they will be in ...it's just a matter of time...don't try to rush here n there untill you really want to be Canada this year ...e.g. PG degree or retaking IELTS. .just remember Rome was not built in a day....All 420 + will be in sooner or later ...till then just relaxed n spend quality time with your family ..coz after landing there you may not return in initial 2 -3 years
So true. Time to improve our scores. I can improve 9 points in 7-8 months. I hope I get ITA before that, but if not, then I will be ready to build Rome in 7-8 months :p

HI Guys,

One quick question: My NOC is 2174 - I've decided that this NOC was the closest to the work I do while creating my EE a few months ago. It's either this or 2173. Now SINP is going to open in a few weeks if I heard right, but SINP doesn't have 2174 and only has 2173 as the occupation-in-demand. My question is, can I still apply? i.e I'll be applying with the NOC 2173 not 2174 which has always been my NOC in my express entry profile - is this allowed? legal? Need some info on this.

As always, thanks for your input, guys.
You can change you NOC before receiving ITA. Updating EE profile is allowed, I think. Let's wait for an expert opinion though.

@NOMAD2017 first of all tell me one thing, what made you think so that targets are inclusive of accompanying partners/children? I guess targets are for applicants only!! accompanying partners/children comes free!! :)
Express Entry target admissions

Year Target Target Increase
2017 71,700*
2018 74,900 3,200 (4%)
2019 81,400 6,700 (9%)
2020 85,800 4,400 (5%)
*This does not include the target number for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP)

Another 184,000 or so economic migrants and their accompanying family members will be admitted through the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs),

Which target are you talking about? ITA or PR? I was referring to PR quota. If the PR quota for 2018 is around 75k, than how many ITAs IRCC will issue this year? One ITA can result in multiple PRs.

Yes. So if I get an ITA, and my application is accepted, we will be taking 4 PRs off that quota. My one EE profile has 4 applicants. That's the whole point behind that poll. Just wanna know the pattern. Again, we can't deduce anything from the poll, as the rejection rate of the applications (post ITA) is also not know
But I am sure the rejection rate will not be as high as it was last year, as learning curve of the applicants is also improving with time.

Hi,
Targets (74,900 admissions for 2018) are number of new permanent residents, counting primary applicant and each dependent.

https://www.cicnews.com/2017/11/canada-welcome-nearly-one-million-new-immigrants-through-2020-119798.html#gs.FOWp0XU
We keep coming back to this same thing again and again. Why you guys make it so complicated? We cant know for sure what is the average no of admission per successful applicant? So just think it this way. The target last year also were 71000+ and they issued 84000 ITAs to fill up the target. So this accompanying spouse, dependant and all that equation were present last year as well. This year they are targetting even more. So why all of a sudden you guys start talking about admission and all that crap? I really dont underdstand.

Another thing, every week there are 300-400 PNP nominated profile in the express entry. As far as I remember PNP admission target is different. If they are eating up quota from original FSW then I am sure those ITAs will be excluded from the total target.

So you suggest we ignore the learning curve theory altogether? Don't you think less applications will go down the drain this time around? But again, only time will tell what is actually going on. I really hope you are right. Let's wait and see what happens tomorrow.

But what about the text I highlighted in post #1135? It says xxx immigrants and their accompanying partners?
In PNP case, that might be correct. But I have read on other threads on this forum that the PR quota is for applicants as well as their accompanying family members. If you find more information on it, let me know.

Very well said @special3220 !!! @NOMAD2017 stop collecting the data on #of dependents and stop trying to reduce ITAs going to be issued !!! Don't eat our brains:)
