I got into IP2 stage this morning . So I am hoping many people with medicals passed around 26-27 march should have the BG status changed too.Good luck to everyone.

a friend had recently talked to an agent and told me so.
I also checked immitracker site, looks like after 27th feb, there are slight changes in background check wording.

Because it takes 6 to 8 Months for notorious London visa office to process ur EE. And they only issue one PPR in a week. If you find out your visa office is London, stay assured for 6 months processing. Don’t expect anything sooner than 4 months. For other visa office, magic can happen like you would receive ppr in a month a lot of people
Hi , not sure whether the question was directed towards me or not but yeah my country of residence is USA not sure what my visa office is.But I have a feeling its Ottawa since I have applied from US.

On March 20, I got my AOR (just a few minutes after I submitted my application).
On March 28, I got the "You passed the medical exam" update.
But BG status still shows "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check". After reading about the timeline of the application processing on the internet, I was hoping that I would pass the IP1 stage in the following few days but it's been 10 days. I read that usually the IP1 is completed a few hours/days after getting the medical pass. Am I mistaken in thinking that I still am in IP1 stage?

Hi Kamal, Has your BG status been updated yet or are you still in IP1 stage? I got MEP on March 27 but am still in IP1...
