I think they use whatever size of family NOW to calculate LICO required for previous years too. So even if you only had 1 kid back in 2015 but have 2 kids in 2018 they will want you to have had income for 6 for 2015.

I was reading that Lico is different for dependent child ? Is that true. I am applying for my mother and my brother who is dependent on her and under 22 this year.

Do you think if i apply and explain that we only were 5 people in 2015, they will consider the application ? The difference is only 2500 in MNI and only in the 3 rd year. I feel like taking the chance.

And if i apply for both and they refuse, can i apply again just for my mother ? as she is eligible if i apply alone.

I have a question. in 2015 NOA i only had one kid, and total 5 people in house hold (3 of us plus 2 sponsored) so income needed for that year is 65000 and since then we are 6 people and income is 75 and 76.

My family income was 70k in 2015 ( but 5 dependents at that time adding sponsored parents) and above the MNI since then.

Will they take that into consideration ?

No. You need to meet the income for all 3 years using your current family size. If you don't meet the 2015 income requirement for 6 people, you don't qualify and should not have submitted an interest form.

Your family size is 6 for all years. They don't care if you met LICO for a lower family size that isn't applicable today, they want to see 3 years at current family size.

For 2015 income needed for family size of 6 is $73,733. If you plus your co-signer don't meet this in 2015, you are ineligible and should never have applied to lottery in the first place.

You either meet income or you don't, there are no exceptions so your app will be rejected.

Also you can't remove family members, ALL must be included in the app whether they will be accompanying or non-accompanying. This means any child aged 21 at under at time you submit the app.

If thats the case, i will be applying for just my Mom sponsorship as my brother wont be eligible next year so i will still be using the interest form and applying for sponsorship.

I am just asking questions to fully understand and i thought that i was above the LICO but under for 6 people by 2500.

It doesn't work like that.

There are no repercussions for making false declarations. Samti can apply again in 2 years and get it on his first try.

The system is very very fair.

They put it very very clear

but it is anyone's right to say yes even when the truth is no. System is fair for all.
I know you can apply again, i'm just saying not to waste your luck, because you never know!

Yes, in this case then i will be applying for just my Mother sponsorship and not the brother. Thanks for your clarification.

Well the system is entirely fair. You are certainly welcome to give it a try. Worst case is they say no. But at least you tried.

or you can go the advice of many professionals who know what they are doing and say no don't waste your money.

It's a fair and free system. You can do what you want. Similarly I could also send in an application even though I was not selected and they will probably send it back to me or just throw it in the trash. We can do anything.

You cannot submit another application for your mom until a decision has been made for the existing application. That may take years.

If you submit application this year and your brother is a dependent child of your mother, you have to include him in calculating the family size.

That's not true. If your kid is born in 2016 then family count of 2015 won't count that kid. I had checked this by calling cic helpline before applying for lottery this year. In my case our daughter was born in 2016 so they told me that for 2015 I need income for 4 (me, my wife and my parents) and for 2016 onwards I need it for 5. Though the guy who answered my question did mentioned that if I get selected then I send a letter along with my application explaining this case to avoid any confusion. I didn't got selected in this year's lottery though.

Well, sometimes CIC helpline reps give conflicting answers. I would call again to make sure.
