Thanks man. There is nothing i can do but to wait.
Things will be faster for you after you get AOR due to 12 months standard processing time. You will forget all this pain/stress after you become Canadian citizen. My citizenship took 17.5 months, when I applied in 2008. I had benchmarks from my few friends who applied in 2006-2007 and they got Citizenship in straight 3-4 months. One of my friend applied in Oct 2005 and got citizenship in December 2005 (2 months). So, with these faster referencing in mind, I was like why it is taking too much time for me. I could do nothing, other than checking e-cas few times a day. We do not know how IRCC works internally, as there is no justification on why Oct applicants are waiting for AORs and January applicants are getting AORs. It is hard to speculate rationale behind it.

Update: I will take little blame on me for 17.5 months of processing time because during processing I moved to another province and also re-scheduled test once.

For NO AOR yet!!!
Hello everyone
Though am new to the forum, but i have read ur posts. I am one of those whose application was recieved on oct.18 and no AOR yet
Here to give ya all a ray of hope!
I have been calling cic like most of us, and mostly got different replies from agents ( either appl. lost or not there in system, or sent back..... etc. etc.
few weeks ago, an agent left a note on file, but also said that there is minor chance!!, that we will get a reply from app. processing officers, but i was ok with that minor chance as being waiting for a long time with no AOR.
So i called cic a while ago, and was told by the agent, that the reply for the note is there, and the officer says, “ application was recieved in oct. and applicant will hear re: it soon.
Also acc. to that agent there are some oct. applications which are sort of backlog/stacked and would be taken care of soon!!!
So my request to you all, “please dont stress, the applications are there,, not lost, just may b misplaced, and we all will get aor soon, i hope!!!. So please relax...

I just finished my call with CIC and they said there is NO harm to send another/new application so I'm going to ask the experts in this form same question that I started with:

Why I cant send a new application?
Whats the disadvantage? worse case scenario?
Does anyone really know or you guys just assuming things here?

No reason you cant. You can send 2 applications now. But because your 1st application was received, you'll get AOR. As I see, there are two premises where you will re-send application - 1) application lost. Till now, there has not been any concrete evidence of any application being lost. and 2) you believe that 2nd application will receive AOR before 1st application. you can be the judge for this.

Whats the disadvantage? worse case scenario?

Even though I say there is no real need, I'd have to say that there is no real disadvantage. Cost/hassle/time if you consider that. Then there is confusion for the officer, so make sure you have explanation letter at the top. But those are minor points.

Does anyone really know or you guys just assuming things here?
Know what? assuming what? Everything in my reply is based on observation on this forum and the observation in the spreadsheet.
