My application was submitted from canada online by my husand with the help of representative but as my country of residence is india So Application had to be processed within my home country. Applied on 14th november and still waiting for the reply..
I hope that we hear soon! I applied just a day after you. Do you know if your application is in background check?
Background check is not applicable for my application as i got a screenshot from my representative..
Sometimes it says not applicable but they still do it. My application also said not applicable but then after calling found out it was undergoing background check. After some time my online application status changed.
Your husband should call the IRCC call center in Canada to get a status on the automated service. It will tell you the real status.

I want to share my experience to everyone what happened actually when I applied for TRV.
I have applied my visited visa from dubai and I am working from 2011 here in uae. Previously I was employed as a purchasing manager in a retail company and now I am working as a director.
I visited uk 3 ,Europe 1 ,qatar 1 , Oman and pakistan allot of time but this time I was trying to visit Europe and Canada in one trip.
I got schengen visa in 10 days applying by passport and the same time I applied for Canada TRV. I applied on 13 December and I got replied back from them on 1st of January 2018.what a great surprise
First attempt what I have given to them.
Bank statement it was showing 19000 aed
My home contract uae
My land documents in pakistan
My family passport who are residence in UAE from 15 years
My visa copy current status is dirctor
My previous passport detail
Ticket and hotel booking
And my wife visa and passport detail.
Family information in Pakistan
Receipt of money sent to Pakistan
Look what they have gifted me on first day of the year.

Your current employment situation
Your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence
Your immigration status
Your personal assets and financial status
Your travel history

After that I feel maybe they have over looked at my file and I should re apply again with the Batter way.
Again I have write down proper cover latter and I have given all the information about why what and what else.
But actually they over looked again at my files but this time they reduce the objections .
They just marked out.
We are not satisfied that you will come back again

3rd - your current immigration status o man what you wanted from me to apply for just TRV
I am just laughing they have waisted my time one month but what they have gifted us.
I am hopeless with their process I don't know even if they have sense to people who are getting just in 3 days.
I am visiting Europe now but Canada I don't have word for the people.

Unfortunately, it's not surprising why you were refused twice. You have missed out on submitting a whole bunch of documents and evidence + you have not explained your purpose of visit, etc
As per the website shows me what documents I need to submit for purpose of visit it's only
Hotel booking
Air ticket
And insurance
What kind of full bunch of paper they wanted from me
I have given them full detail in my cover later
I have current Schengen tourist visa
I have visited so many countries durning my residence in uae

The visa assessment process for each country is different. Some countries are more stringent in their assessment as compared to other countries.
1. Are you planning to reapply?
2. Would your wife be accompanying you?
3. What is the purpose of your visit and for how long?
4. Do you have a Canadian host (business associate, family member or friend)?
5. Do you have any valid visas, particularly for the US?
Yes I am agreed with you about the visa assessment for each country is different but
But when we are applying from the country rather then your home country then we are using residence visa of the current country and assessment also will be on the base of your current residence country.
Even though if the assessment was on the base of my home country where I never lived from 8 years but yes my family and parents are staying there. But if they will look at my background and eligibility it should be on the residence visa work permit.
My bank statement is belong to the residence visa and other all documents.
I have showed them confirmed hotel booking which was the perfect evidence that I am going to stay there at the time of my visit to Canada but
I have showed them the air ticket and I have mention in the company employement latter that I am going to stay there for five days only .
What else I need to show them???
