yup you’re just ahead of me for a week. we will probably get our AOR end of december. or early january for me. and my wife’s work permit expires february 4,2018. so i also badly need that AOR before that date so that she’ll be at least on implied status.

Application received September 21st still waiting for AOR looks like we should apply for extension regardless not sure what the cost is seems like a waste of money

I sent my application in for visitor extension less than a week before my old one ran out. Cost 100 dollars and it was approuved the day of expiration
of my old one and I received it in the mail yesterday..

Hi again guys, sorry for not mentioning my timeline in previous post:

Application received: August 18
AOR: October 5th
Provided Schedule A and police certificate: November 5

I followed the advice here and uploaded my Schedule A and police check on Sunday. However it still says "Your action is required" under the
"View my submitted applications or profiles" section of my account. Is this expected?

Yes, it is. Mine has been showing that message for over 3 months. You will have to be very patient because this is the part when you wait a long time for your medical request (March/April applicants haven't gotten theirs yet from what I have read).

Hi! I am a feb applicant. I did my medicals in June and been waiting ever since. No change in ECAS or mycic, and also no emails from CIC. I would call but I see them processing the 2016 applicants before us.

When you say "application received", do you mean AOR or do you mean when the application arrived at the IRCC office via mail?
I submitted my application Oct 23rd and am waiting on AOR, I'm hoping my OWP will arrive before early March so that I don't have to extend my visitor status!

AOR simply means an Application of Receipt mail that you get from IRCC that your application has been received.

OWP will surely come before march..If it goes by the trend, it will come on 23rd Jan 2018 as it comes exactly 3 months from the date IRCC received your application

Mine is showing the same. Not sure if passed or just received. But I assumed it is passed, hence the details on my signature.

Same has been mycase.. I submitted my Schedule A & police verification on 3 aug 2017, since then no revert, it only shows, your action is required.. which is confusing

Yes, I did pay the fee.

Andddddd.... Today Feb 14th we received the OWP. Exact 4 months and 2 weeks after applying the PR & Work permit together.

We'll be now work towards getting TRV. I have 2 questions if anyone could update on them:-

1. How long does it take to get the TRV once you send the Passport?
2. Once TRV has arrived, can we travel outside canada? Is there any problem while re-entering back in Canada on TRV?

Last Thursday I received an email informing that my OWP was approved and mailed to me. Exactly 3 months after my application was received.

if you call 1-888-242-2100 and follow the keys to check your status, it will read the status from your My CIC. You will need your application number and YOB to access the status.
