It's so strange how the process varies so much for everyone

Good afternoon everyone! :D

My hubby send it and they just received it this morning (checked with tracking) he has until Dec 16 to validate his PR.

I'm pretty sure that the answer is somewhere in this discussion, but I'm very stressed/anxious/borderline crazy  with all the sudden developments so I was just wondering if someone could tell me what's the average time line for Mexico to send back the passport?

I read people talking about a letter with the things to do/to bring to prepare for the trip to Canada, I did not received that letter just the pre arrival services letter I received. Someone was mentioning a list of belongings the person has to do, is it an accurate fact or it's not something everyone has to do?

I thank you all very much for the answer, it's really appreciated!

Have a nice day ;)

Good evening!

I’m sorry to bother you. I think your wife has arrived? How did it go? Did you travel with her?

We just received the letter asking us to send the passeport, he must travel before Dec 16.

You were mentioning a form to list the belongings is it a special form or it’s a list that we have to do? Does it come back with the passport or will be sent by email?

How did it go at the airport? Did she waited a lot?

Thank you so much for your attention

Yes my wife is with me now since Oct 22nd. I flew there spent a couple of days and then flew back with her. The process was really easy. Only thing was that I had to fill out a separate arrival form for her instead of the same one as me. We never got a form asking about belongings. They asked if we were sending things separately but we just had everything with us.

I went through the foreign line with my wife and we were the first ones there. They took our information and told us to go into another line which was to receive the COPR. We were the first ones in line and we waited only about 5 minutes for them to process and then passed by the welcome area where they gave us pamphlets for things such as OHIP and SIN number.

Process was very straight forward and the officers know exactly how to help you.

Thank you for your answer!!

When was is send?

How many days it took for them to sent it back since they received the passport?

What’s the average amount of time for that step?

My husband has until Dec 16 to travel.

I’m stressed! I thought stress would go away once we would know he was granted PR but nope! I’m overwhelmed!!!

Hi, my husband and I submit the application for permanent residence in the family class for spouses currently living in Canada.

The Canadian Embassy in Mexico will request a police certificate on my name behalf after I provide the fingerprints.

The certificate will be sent to CIC and the results will be uploaded directly in there sistem.

how long take that process?
by previous comments on this forums I know it may take about a month . . .

The embassy received my passport on 20th October.
Mine was received on Oct 11th and I got it back yesterday so it take 3 weeks. I think you will get it late this weeks, early next :)

Guys I'm so stressed out. We got an email today for our interview and it says it's in Mexico. The problem is I'm in under DACA and the DACA visa doesn't let me leave the country. If I leave I can't come back. I grew up here in the states. I haven't been in Mexico since I was 2 . I have seven days to email them. HELP!!!!!
Did you call CIC explaining your situation? if not, I highly recommend you to do it and find out the option straight from CIC . . .
