That sounds like a good place to start.. Ill send you a PM. If anyone else is interested please message us!

I'm down! Are we going to send a formed letter or just write our own?
I contacted several MP people about immigration last summer and they all pointed me to my local mayor who worked on my behalf. I'm not sure if this is something they have control over or any say in but that's another place who does understand immigration as well. Maybe not particularly military stuff in mexico..but might be able to forward it off.

It makes a lot of sense tho what you said - people who are outside mexico wouldn't be in the military so it doesn't make sense. it does seem like CIC needs to come up with a work around for this. crossing my fingers it comes soon.

Wow, we are sure talkers here :) 16 pages in a couple days! Too bad it wasn't all happy news.

I just thought i'd post this from another board i'm writing on from Leon:

My response: Leon, what she means is we were asked for the Federal police check to be completed which in Mexico is called "Constancia De dato registrales" and one of the requirements in order to obtain the federal police check (a change within the last month or so) is a military card which takes up to 2 years to receive. So we are unable to obtain this document for our application. Do you know if there is any other way around this as there are lots of us in the same position. or do you know how long canada will extend or put our application on hold for until we can get this document as this change was totally unexpected.

Their response: So you have a pcc but it needs to be stamped officially or something like that? I think you should try to send a letter to the visa office explaining the whole thing and how many people are in the same situation and wait for what they say. What you could also do is for the one of you who is in Canada (or ask relatives in Canada if neither of you are there) to go to their MP, explain the situation for them and request that they try to find a solution for this problem.

Looks like we're on the right path.

My SO is here with me in Canada on a valid multiple entry trv and will be staying here until he recieves PR Any experience/suggestions (It would really make my day)??

@missmymexi, thank you - your very kind! As far as I can tell, we are okay for now .. myself & itscoezy recieved emails stating precartillas are fine, and I called again to verify and the Mexican Embassy in Canada also updated their website and the precartilla is fine.. so hopefully everything is okay .. Fingers crossed! :)

No way MC1234! Don't get off the boards. We all are here to support each other. It's better than obsessing alone, lol! Which is probably what I would do otherwise, lol!
