No way MC1234! Don't get off the boards. We all are here to support each other. It's better than obsessing alone, lol! Which is probably what I would do otherwise, lol!

best of luck to you ahhhh..... and i mean it from the bottom of my heart......

If I were you, I would print out all of the emails you sent them trying to get in touch with them, a letter explaining what happened, and the PGR.

could it be possible if he goes in person to the canadian embassy in mexico... that they will accept.....considering the fact that the status of the application states that it is in process

Yeah for sure..Like I said, send your husband in with all the emails you sent, a letter explaining why the PGR is late, and the PGR.. I think its a pretty understandable situation

Np! Hope it all goes well, please keep us posted :)

I just spoke to my husband about this and he said the same thing that Grice said. He said that there are a lot of people from Guatemala, Peru and other Central/South American countries that are buying precartilla's on the black market so that they can become Mexican citizens. There are even going as far as learning the Mexican accent in order to accomplish this goal. So it looks like this is the Mexican government's way of cracking down on illegal immigration. How ironic that we are trying to accomplish legal immigration to Canada and we are being affected by this. Life is just not fair sometimes :'(

Americana, I'm not trying to scare you but desertion is a serious crime in most/all countries. Don't get me wrong: I have no love for the military in any shape or form, so I don't care, but will the mexican federales care? I'm thinking if there is a record of your hubby's desertion, it could cause you guys trouble. Am I making sense or is this old news for you?

Cheers all!
