I think they mean the requirement of PR card or PR confirmation letter that aren't on the checklist or instruction guide anymore.

4. a) Copy the Client ID# or Unique Client Identifier (UCI) exactly as it appears on your most recent immigration document. Immigration documents include your:
  • Permanent Resident Card (PR Card)
  • Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688)
  • Record of Landing (IMM 1000)
    • if there is no client ID number listed provide the document number located at the bottom right corner that begins with a W followed by 9 digits (Example: W 012 345 678)

That's the instruction to fill up the Form. You have to copy the UCI number and it's just saying that you can locate that number in either of those documents. There's no need to include a copy of them.

Read the Step 3 – Gather your documents and the Checklist and those are the required documents.

Instruction guide does not ask for those documents. You are incorrect!

@crystalyue, his visa was a work visa, so it counts as immigration status in another Country. He should have included it in his application. It doesn't matter that it's expired.
I was too in the same situation as @ Prime A - Did I misunderstand question 13? I worked in the USA for 1.5 years back in 2010-11, but I did not include my work visa in Q 13, thinking probably it is asking for immigration or citizenship related documents only. Am I screwed as well?

Hi Guys,

A question, does it matter if the document checklist in the application refers to 08-2017 instead of 10-2107, it essentially has the same things? and I have included all the supporting documents

When i applied on 13th Oct made double sure to download the right document checklist from 10-2017 but at that time it seemed to be it was not available. the application has already reached anyways but just wanted to know for peace of mind :)

I hope not, so far as all documents as per new list are available with your application to IRCC while processing.

In what situations does an applicant get an RQ ?
I heard some horror stories about people waiting 15-20 months for that to be complete.

Unfortunately, I think we are screwed. They don't need copies of visa, but we should have fill the information in box 13. That is, year and month we got the work visa, what kind it was (work, study, etc) and when the status expired. I tried calling IRCC earlier, but the hold was too long, and I have to go to work. Maybe you should try calling them, and update us if you get a hold of them

This is correct, @sukhi7 please see Step 3 – Gather your documents http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/CIT0002ETOC.asp#Step3

You are not required to send copy of your PR or COPR.

4, a) Copy the Client ID# or Unique Client Identifier (UCI) exactly as it appears on your most recent immigration document. Immigration documents
include your:

    • Permanent Resident Card (PR Card)
    • Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688)
    • Record of Landing (IMM 1000)
      • if there is no client ID number listed provide the document number located at the bottom right corner that begins with a W followed by 9 digits (Example: W 012 345 678)

Please do not confuse. The above section you posted is telling you to copy your Client ID# or UCI. It further explains that you can get that number from immigration documents. Now, some people may get confuse that what is the immigration document? So, the guide further explains that, "Immigration documents include your: .........."

Hope its clear :)
