Guys,

I am at 421. Got an email from Ontario PNP on June 16th. At that time NOC 6314 if I remember right was on the list. I only have 9 months as a data base admin... Does it still make sense for me to apply for OIPNP? I also have 1.5 years as a chem technologist

Hello,
I have submitted my profile with an CRS of 439. Didn't know my bachelor of Laws is considered equivalent to masters.

Anyways I have a issue. My first degree of engineering was completed in 2008. The degree certificate also says 2008. But WES has put 2007 as the year awarded in ECA. I should have completed my degree in 2007 but had a course to clear so was awarded in 2008. Now what should I put in my express entry profile, 2007 or 2008. Presently I have it as 2007 in accordance with the ECA. Any help would be appreciated.

abhishek_89 could you please let me know as per your statistical analysis taking into consideration of average new applicants in different score ranges + pending applicants below 440, the likely approximate date cut off CRS Score comes out to be if the draw is on 26th july and draw size is 3000.

Will post the prediction tomorrow..

Actually it is not counted as a master's degree per say. Law falls under professional degrees, so even a bachelor's degree entitles you to same points as a master's degree.

I was actually surprised that architectural degree is not counted as professional, since the bachelor's degree is a 5 year course. So I am basically entitled to only bachelor degree points even though I have the same number of years or more than most people with a masters degree. :(

That's a tricky situation there. If I were you, I would follow the ECA. As that is the certificate relevant to Canada. But before I do so, I would contact WES and Ensure that them putting down your Year of completion as 2007 is not an oversight.

Hey,
Thanks for the reply. I have already contacted WES regarding the same on the 17th. Got a reply from them on the 20th. They stated that they will review it and make changes if necessary. Also I will be notified in writing if they deem no changes are necessary. Haven't heard from them since.

Interestingly my online ECA report date changed from 11th July to 21st July in the meantime. So I am assuming they reviewed and made no changes. I don't want to wait another couple of weeks for a draw. So I'll go with 2007 and explain in LOE if WES makes any changes.

My wife's also an architect and the primary applicant. :)

I think you are safe then. Just go ahead and apply. You can sort it out with LOE.

So your Wife only applied as bachelors degree or as masters? And what degree does she hold. I have a 5 year BArch.
