You go girl. Hurray :) A month is good time to get nomination these days also given that you had to explain lot of unavailable previous documents. I can read your joy :) That's awesome. So now you have a ITA coming next week. What an incredible feeling it would be it would still not surpass the sheer excitement of nomination, would it? Many many congratulations to you my friend. I couldn't be more happier for you.

I too am in the catch 22 situation whether to go for IELTS or proceed with OINP. I had a chat with my brother-in-law and he is now highly suggesting, almost insisting i should accept OINP and forget about the IELTS. He is worried if i fail to score CLB 9 again OINP quota might get exhausted in couple of months. He had been insisting me to take IELTS for more than 3 months but after the March 4 horror, i was just too disappointed and also bullish that score will drop down to my level sometime in late July. I do not want to be going against him all the time as i respect him a lot and my behaviour might not have been received well of late by him. After all he worried for me not him. I too am worried with three failed attempts in IELTS in past the year and half. Properly confused! I apologize to have hijacked your moment of joy and pour my difficulties lol. Many many congratulations once again. I hope you will be around :)
I agree with your brother-in-law:):)

New to the group! submitted our profile yesterday. Both husband wife having master's degree from US university and 10+ years exp in USA. Our score is 398 with IELTS score average 7.5 ( both of us). Husband job code 0213 and wife job code 2173/2174. Do you think we need to take IELTS again? Profile submitted under wife name due to age factor. Score calculator give us 454 if she retakes and gets an average 8 on IELTS. Should we retake or wait for ONIP NIC?
retake your IELTS

If you have a Masters you can definitely put in the effort and get an 8 average which puts you straight through. No need for the PNP then

With 398, I would try for IELTS one more time, so you can go straight to federal stage. If you get an OINP in the meantime, go for it.

Although I am on vacation and enjoying it, I think about draw a lot! Why there was none! Sometimes I feel Canada will never come for me! :( I know everything in life has the right time and place but it's really hard to wait! A moment of weakness, sorry! :(
Not to worry, moments of weakness are allowed on such a long journey. But we are assured it will happen for you and everyone else waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel.

If you want to go to Ontario then go for OINP if not wait a bit longer but scores will drop to our level, soon!

Sure....thats what i am thinking, bit confused though. last time we took with very minimal preparation, should have put bit more effort. With 2 kids was difficult to manage them, work and then make some time to study. Wife has to retake as she is the primary. In meantime if we get the PNP nomination, does that add additional 600 points to our score?

Thank you so much for all the good wishes.

I can imagine how confusing it can be faced with the two options. Hope whatever decision you make brings you closer to an ITA. All the best.

Thanks mate :) I too agree with him. However i have already started preparing on my IELTS. Just in case if i do not get CLB 9 and the quota gets exhausted, i will be hearing a lot for a long while lol.
Good luck with the IELTS. While waiting for it, you can also spend time getting all documents together for OINP so in case you choose that route, you're ready to submit immediately. Unless you already have done that?
