New to the group! submitted our profile yesterday. Both husband wife having master's degree from US university and 10+ years exp in USA. Our score is 398 with IELTS score average 7.5 ( both of us). Husband job code 0213 and wife job code 2173/2174. Do you think we need to take IELTS again? Profile submitted under wife name due to age factor. Score calculator give us 454 if she retakes and gets an average 8 on IELTS. Should we retake or wait for ONIP NIC?

to retake IELTS is better option as your average score is 7.5 little bit efforts will help you to get 8777 in LRWS and you are good to go with direct ITA.

A shoutout to my friends and well wishers @BillHyatt, @mqamar, @andieangel, @iamxty, @KingKurly, @xibalban, @arunroy007 @tjsecondtry and others who've always supported me with kind words of encouragement, I've some news to share with you all:

After exactly one month and one week since I applied, I've finally received my nomination from Ontario.

Many thanks and kind regards.
You go girl. Hurray :) A month is good time to get nomination these days also given that you had to explain lot of unavailable previous documents. I can read your joy :) That's awesome. So now you have a ITA coming next week. What an incredible feeling it would be it would still not surpass the sheer excitement of nomination, would it? Many many congratulations to you my friend. I couldn't be more happier for you.

I too am in the catch 22 situation whether to go for IELTS or proceed with OINP. I had a chat with my brother-in-law and he is now highly suggesting, almost insisting i should accept OINP and forget about the IELTS. He is worried if i fail to score CLB 9 again OINP quota might get exhausted in couple of months. He had been insisting me to take IELTS for more than 3 months but after the March 4 horror, i was just too disappointed and also bullish that score will drop down to my level sometime in late July. I do not want to be going against him all the time as i respect him a lot and my behaviour might not have been received well of late by him. After all he worried for me not him. I too am worried with three failed attempts in IELTS in past the year and half. Properly confused! I apologize to have hijacked your moment of joy and pour my difficulties lol. Many many congratulations once again. I hope you will be around :)

Congrats! :)

Now it's just a matter of opening a bottle of wine and drinking a little bit everyday until a draw happens. :D

I am so pleased to hear this!! I have been hanging around the Ontario PNP thread just to see your progress and silently praying for you. You have been a great encouragement to others and one can only wish you the best.

Although I am on vacation and enjoying it, I think about draw a lot! Why there was none! Sometimes I feel Canada will never come for me! :( I know everything in life has the right time and place but it's really hard to wait! A moment of weakness, sorry! :(

We all have these moments with the long wait and without having any idea when the scores will drop down again. But the odds are in our favour and 2018 is the year we're all going to land in Canada and have a big party.
