Hi. We just sent in our outland US application today. What are the current major milestones and what can we expect in terms of timing? I am trying to assess if we should put our house up for sale in the US now or wait until later. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Hi steve
Timeline is USUALLY 4-6 months average, but there is a back log right now. you should receive AOR1/SA within around a month.
after that you should be transferred which is AOR2 following the final processing done in more than likely Ottawa VO.

How do you know that there currently is a backlog and how can you track these timeline stats?

Someone from the Outland WhatsApp group said that they got their GCMS notes and it had a record and subject topic if every time they called CIC.

I'm thinking twice about calling now.
Yep. All our correspondences are recorded/listed in there.. It's not too bad to call if it'll give you the peace of mind.

it for sure does to call once and a while... although there is some kind of issue with our application.
the woman on the phone at CIC said it's as if they don't know where to send our application like I was a dual citizen. but I'm only a US citizen. so she sent an urgent message to the officers asking why it hasn't been transferred telling them to transfer it. so I'm going to call tomorrow morning to see if they responded to the note.
