Never changed before background check?

No. The only thing that changed before the CoPR was the documents line when we uploaded something. Everything else stayed the same until the very end.

Seems like there is a new trend that background check goes in progress before getting transferred to the VO. But usually, BGC goes in progress after meds and fee payment. Is this last one is the case then PPR should come shortly after since that means eligibility is passed. If the background check goes in progress while still in Mississauga before getting transferred the VO then it's not an indication of PPR as the eligibility has not been started.

okay so I'm the exact opposite,
According to CIC, when I call, Our application is:
-In CPC-Mississuaga
-Currently going through Eligibility check.
-BGC hasn't been started but will be once it goes to Ottawa.

I got all that from calling them. which I know isn't good cause they have 0 clue, but still.
I'm curious if our application has already had BGC done cause we've been in Mississauga since late feb when we got AOR1.
I wonder if they already did our BGC and now they're doing eligibility before sending it off to Ottawa to finish us off.
*hoping for that at least.
the call agent said BGC would be done in Ottawa, but he also said Eligibility would be done in Ottawa.
and the new trend is Miss doing all of that.

So in your case, when your background check goes in progress, it will be an indication that PPR will be coming soon.

I would get AOR2 first wouldn't I?
or some for of transfer information?

Awesome, thanks!

Did you BGC and Eligibility never change?
Mine say this;

Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Background check: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

so they either haven't started my BGC or didn't bother to update it.
cause it's been over four months now since we've heard from them...

No idea. I know for sure they're doing my eligibility and more than one person on the phone has confirmed that we will be going to Ottawa.
thats all i know.

I don't understand how you applied before me (I'm pretty sure. We applied march 29) and we got transferred and you didn't

My wife called cic today and they told her they have everything they need to start the background check. I wish they would hurry up and start it!

Sent it early Feb.

Hi all – hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend!

It has been a week since I received “Decision Made” on Ecas, but no updates since then. I understand that this isn’t that unusual.

Here is what my ecas shows when I click "decision made"
  1. We received your application for permanent residence on February 20, 2017.
  2. We started processing your application on March 15, 2017.
  3. We sent you correspondence on March 5, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  4. Medical results have been received.

But I did have a question on what to expect for the next step. I received a request from CPC Ottawa late April for new passport scans (as the passport I originally used to apply was close to expiring). Should I be expecting another passport request via email or would the next step be COPR via snail mail?

Thanks!

Hey Guys,

On form 5406, the guide says I should list "Married - Physically present" for the status, but the form field doesn't allow writing all of that. How are you guys dealing with that?

- writing with pen on the print
-using an acronym
-.. else

Thanks in advance!

Someone from the Outland WhatsApp group said that they got their GCMS notes and it had a record and subject topic if every time they called CIC.

I'm thinking twice about calling now.
