No you don't need US visa for flag poling, just tell at the border that you are flag poling and then return. there is a forum for flag poling, please refer that for more details.

Hi All,

regarding the PCC from the age of 18 onwards, I believe that is unfair for the PGP class, where the most of applicants are more than 60. if we all go our respective MPs I guess CIC will reduce the requirement to last 10years.
Please advise, if my thought is rational or not

I have a problem here. My file was transferred to HK last year after the sponsorship was approved in September. They requested additional documents once in Nov and again in Feb 2017. We sent in the package by mail on Mar 15 2017. Last time I found E-Cas had an additional line like this, as if they did not see our package. I wrote to them using the web contact form and was assured our additional document was received on Mar 15 2017. Anyone know if it is normal for a line this to appear??

Hello Everyone,

Sorry i was away for a little while. My father passed away in March. After he passed I immediately reported Delhi immigration and forward them my father's death certificate. They asked me to update the forms again and change my mother as principal applicant. I thought they will put DNA test on hold but they didn't and they send us an appointment for DNA test for my mother and brother for April 28,2017. We got the report within one week and it was also forwarded to CIC. The documents were already submitted for my mother as Principal applicant. They updated my mother as principal applicant yesterday. Does anyone has any idea how long its gonna take for the passport request???. Medicals were done in November 2016 and DNA test in April.

I filed my application in May 2011. I got an email from CIC in March that I have been approved as a sponsor and that they have moved my file to CPC- Ottawa now. I have 2 questions

1. Does CPC Ottawa process the cases faster than home country ( India in my case) ?
2. ON my GCKEY account, it says does you don't need a Medical. Does it mean no Medical required for my parents ?

Here is what it says
"Review of medical results You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes. Help
Background check Your application is in progress.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made. "

I am sponsoring my mother. My father does not want to come and he is earning in India. He is not dependent on principal applicant (my mother).

My question is do we need to Add him as dependent on IMM0008 form. My understanding is we don't have to add him as dependent.

As I am sponsoring my mother only. I don't think I have to provide any document from my father for example IMM5669, IMM5406. He should be added on additional family information form IMM5406 only.

1) Processing in Ottawa or India is almost same. They send the application to different visa offices based on the load.
2) The message regarding medical is in current stage but you will receive a medical request soon.

Hi,
somebody recommended me to join this forum for queries regarding my parents sponsorship case. I applied for my parents and sister sponsorship back in August 2011. Got approved from CPC-M. my case is then transferred to London, UK. It says on application status that their medical has been received. Recently, they ask my mother (principal applicant) to send "Supplementary Information form for Pakistani Nationals". what type of form is that? is it a background check? how long will it take after this step?
