File Transfer (to Ottawa)...: 01-Feb-2017

I successfully linked my online profile to my application and it shows me:

Background check Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check. Help
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Soon after 1/Feb/2017 my Sponsorship Application Status turned to "Decision made" and Permanent Residence application status became "In progress". But 2 weeks ago I found that the Permanent Residence application status reversed to be "Application received". I am worrying if anything went wrong. Please let me know why it happen. It's been almost 3 months since the file being transferred, when will they send the Med request to my mom?

Hi flurryvan,

I tried so many times (and so may days) with variations of UIC, Filenumber...etc but all failed. The last time I was successfully linked with just Full name (case sensitive, exactly as in the form) and DOB. And of course I left place of birth blank (1 space only), full passport details, 3 in the question asking how many people are in the application.

Hi,

In my case they say following. FBI report & PCC from India were received on April 11, 2017, and have to be reviewed
- eligibility PASSED
- security PASSED
- criminality PASSED
- medical PASSED and valid until March 29, 2018

Can anyone suggest how long will it still take or can take?

I have a problem here. My file was transferred to HK last year after the sponsorship was approved in September. They requested additional documents once in Nov and again in Feb 2017. We sent in the package by mail on Mar 15 2017. Last time I found E-Cas had an additional line like this, as if they did not see our package. I wrote to them using the web contact form and was assured our additional document was received on Mar 15 2017. Anyone know if it is normal for a line this to appear??

Yes this is normal. What ever is written on E-Case will stay as it is even after decision made. As they have confirmed you that they received documents then nothing to worry.

I checked around and found that most people got Med's request just 1 month after File transferred. My case it's almost 3 months now? When should I call CIC and ask why the Med's request not coming yet?

There is no consistency in Medical request sent within one month. In my case yes i did get medical request last year May and then stuck in background check for almost 11 months and now did re-medical in April 2017.

There are many members on this forum got medical request in 4-6 Months and after the medical they got Passport request within 1-2 Months.

Being an old member of this forum i know 80-90% members have got the PR therefore we don't hear much from other members.

Same here as well... For us after medical it's been like forever waiting 9 months now. For what I read in the forum atleast a year of waiting after medical, and be aware remedical will be requested and this is another time money and effort that needs to be done.

They got lucky and depends who is holding The case. They might for an officer who is fast and accurate. What a luck
