Hello @Miss bee ,
I have applied for Canadian permanent residency through the non-Express Entry stream for both myself and my wife. We received the Pre-Arrival Letter (PAL), completed our medical exams on April 23, 2025, and received P1 on May 28, 2025. I plan to travel to my home country on June 20 and return on July 20, while my wife will return on September 22.

I have the following questions regarding the next steps in my PR process:

  • Since I have received P1, should I proceed with it immediately, or should I inform the authorities of my travel plans and accept it after returning to Canada?
  • Can I proceed with P1 and P2 after I return to Canada, even though my wife will not be back until September 22?

What are my options? Could someone please advise me on the best course of action?

@Miss bee I have the same question. But I only had a salary increase, same position and NOC. Do I have to notify IRCC? I applied through AOS provincial and Non-EE PNP federal
For wage increase , you don't need to notify but if there is change in job title then you have to. Also if your wage went below from last time you were getting then you have to notify too.

Ontario, OINP.
You should submit webform to OINP and attached is link .
https://www.ontarioimmigration.gov.on.ca/oinp_index/resources/app/home/index.html#!/form

When submitting your update via the webform, ensure you include:
  • Your full name
  • OINP file number
  • Details of your promotion (new job title, effective date)
  • Updated salary information
  • Confirmation that you remain with the same employer
  • Any relevant supporting documents, such as a new employment letter or recent pay stubs
Providing comprehensive and accurate information will help the OINP assess your update efficiently.

Hi @Miss bee. I hope your day is going well.
I have a question regarding my application. I am currently waiting for my P2. I got P1 on May 14th and replied the same day. I am going on a trip back home for about a month in October 22nd. I still have a valid work permit and worker visa until october 2026. So what if I received my ECOPR while I'm travelling. Would my paperwork still valid to go back to Canada ?

Thank you and hope to hear from you soon

If you got ECOPR and you are outside Canada, you need Either valid PR card or PRTD to return back to Canada.

Does anyone know why the AOR for NON-Express Entry is taking so long to be sent nowadays? It seems that they are stuck with October 29-30th for more than 3 weeks now and they seem to send 1 or even zero AOR daily. Anything to be concerned about? Thanks for any insight anyone may have! Good luck to everyone!
