Hi, I am currently in Montreal with a 2-year work permit, CAQ, and an acceptance letter from LaSalle College, which is a private institution. My college was eligible for PGWP. Now, I want to apply for a study permit to pursue studies at this college. According to the new rules applicable to public colleges after September 2024, if I apply for a study permit before September 2024, am I still eligible for PGWP?"
When do you plan to begin the program? Whether you qualify for a PGWP depends on when you plan to begin the progam.

Note that you need an attestation letter to apply for the study permit.

"The program will start in September 2024, and I'll be studying Business Management. However, I heard that if you have a CAQ, you don't need an attestation letter in Quebec. Am I eligible?"

If the program starts in September and falls under a "curriculum licensing arrangement" then I don't believe you'll qualify for a PGWP. "Starting September 1, 2024, international students who begin a study program that is part of a curriculum licensing arrangement will no longer be eligible for a postgraduation work permit upon graduation."

You need a CAQ and an attestation letter to apply to the best of my knowledge.

I have applied in University of Lethbridge's Dhillon school of business, Alberta. I have concern that University of Lethbridge is public University but Dhillon school of business which is a part of University of Lethbridge is private.
I have question that will i receive my post graduate work permit of 3 years ?
I am confused should I continue with the admission process or find some other way ?
I don't know if this dhillon school of business comes under Curriculum licensing agreement or not !?
Seeking help in this confusion.
Thank you
The business school is part of the university. It is named after a large donor it is not a separate school. It is still still part of the university so no issue

Good morning all. I got admission at Fleming college for the September intake but haven’t made tuition fee payment, and due to the announcement by the Immigration Minister I won’t go ahead with the school. Please what other schools in Canada will offer the post graduate work permit since the reduction of permit issues is mainly on the public private partnership schools. Thanks

I'll apply to the IRCC this month from Bangladesh for Conestoga College, Ontario for May Intake, 2024. My course is the Ontario College Graduate Certificate for an 8-month PGD Program and my actual plan is to complete another 8-month consecutive program after this course. So that I can be eligible for a 3-year post-graduation work permit. I think the May intake will be delayed to September for the visa.
But at this moment I'm puzzled/confused about the new rules/regulations about the college/program/intake.
Can anyone suggest to me in this situation, Plz what I should do now?

You are going to a public DLI so no issue.

Hi Naturgrl, Please I gained admission for May 2024 at Fleming College Toronto and I already have my study visa and have bought my flight ticket. would I still be eligible for PGWP as Fleming College Toronto runs a Public Private Partnership? @Naturgrl please advise, would I still be eligible for PGWP if I resume in May 2024 or should I come to Canada and change schools but I fear all schools would be closed for May 2024.
