Yes he did attached his invitation and bank statement but seems like they don’t care. His brother has government teaching job.
completed his biometric 11 October.
I applied for my brother on October 16
Eligibility started on 26 October
No update since that.
Hopefully positive
Are your applications sent to Abu Dhabi Visa Office? If yes, then you all need to be proactive and raise your concerns. Staying quiet will not help you.

How to do that? Send webforms as first stage action.
Clearly write your concerns that despite being fully eligible you know that you will be unjustifiably DENIED VISA. There are few Visa Officers who are either ill-trained or through certain un-announced policy straight away delaying and denying visa to certain nationalities. This needs to be highlighted to senior IRCC authorities and simultaneously through your (or your relatives/friends') MPs in Canada.

The more precisely and frequently you speak up, the more quickly this rebellious behavior of certain visa officers will be controlled!

They denied my brother visitor visa too.
What about you? Have you heard anything from them?
Did eligibility change to complete before decision ?

Hello All,

I applied visitor visa for my in-laws in June 2023, biometrics were done and updated in the portal on July 4th and no progress from then till now!
As my in-laws are based in India, and I applied the visa as Outside the Canada. I contacted IRCC both Canadian and Indian customer care. IRCC canada redirected me to New Delhi office, while New Delhi office doesn’t allow any communication by phone for Visa application. We also sent webforms but we are asked to do nothing but wait.

I appreciate if anyone has advices which worked for them.

Thank you.

So sorry to hear about that. Don’t know why IRCC aren’t nice to you
i dont know the reason i believe first world country has their own third world issues. there has been a case where his parents had to wait for 1.5 years for a passport request they also had valid usa and canada visa in the past their processing simply do not make sense.. i have moved on with my life.

I applied in late Nov 2023, I had a ghost update on 1 dec 2023 and I didn’t get any update through out the month and then i started getting ghost updates from 3 Jan to 8 Jan and no update after that. No significant changes happened in my file even though it said last updated on those days. For TRV
can someone please tell me what’s going on ?
it’s saying
Biometrics: completed
Medical exam: no started
Background check: in progress
Eligibility: completed
I lived in Canada for 4 years I got here for a week for dental work and got to know my visa expired. I have a valid study permit till 2025 and I applied for TRV on 21 Nov and 1 dec is when I got access to my online account from my lawyer in which it showed
That information. About eligibility and biometrics being completed and medical exam not started and background check in progress. My classes started yesterday and I had to defer my exams for last semester. That’s why I’m wondering how long it might be

If you applied late November and with the Christmas/New Year holidays your application is along normal processing times. No one can tell you how long but you should have approval and hopefully stamping by end of January. You still need approval and stamping.

If you didn’t complete your last semester because of deferred exams then what will it say on your transcript. Will it say you are a full time student? Did you get authorized leave?

My dean said, that to give my last semester exams whenever I come back and he will count my fall semester done. I’m just enrolled in winter semester and I’m missing classes. I’m just really hoping if it comes in January and is not any later than that.

Good luck. Too many people leave the country without a valid TRV.
