In My point of it is unlikely they will resume VISA services . If i am not wrong , india will decrease its diplamatic capacity in canada saying it is not safe in CANADA and they will increase the wait time further in issuing the OCI applications and i am not surprised the OCI time will go beyond 4 months eventually

So I finally see an update on the OCI status inquiry portal for my application (BLS Toronto, postal, application date: Oct 2) and it states 'Under Process'. Before I begin to relax a bit, I realize that my wife's application is still not showing (Same application date; in fact both applications were sent in the same envelope) on the OCI status inquiry portal

Anyone else has experienced this? When will this frustration end? I'm regretting my decision to book tickets in advance

@time1976 What is the acknowledgement date on OCI site for the one application that you see "Under process"? I want to update my tracker sheet. Thanks.

Question - My OCI application has shown no update and was ACKED on September 25th. I asked around and some people said there is something called a "Cooling Off" period, Does anyone know what this is? My flight is for 22nd but now I am postponing. I was told I would have my OCI between 25-28th of October.

Not a cooling-off period, but more like a mandatory wait to give time for any security checks to complete. But yours is OCI renewal and we don't have much data on it. I saw one similar case which took 30 days after ACK.

I think you meant Oct 16th.. and no updates .. i called them today and they said it will take another 2-3 working days to send to consulate (assuming all documents and application is fine)..
