I'm back with weird question of the day.!!!

My cousin currently have a Permanent Residence application under EE PNP program with a nomination from Alberta. The nomination is based on a job offer from a Alberta company and that company advised him that they're going to close down in early 2023.

He wanted to confirm whether he can have an active EE profile alongside the EE PR application? In case the company gets closed, he have to inform Alberta and his nomination would be withdrawn resulting IRCC application being refused/declined.

He want to create a new profile without job offer, since he lives there and have a family in Alberta, he have a good chance to receive an EOI (expression on interest) from Alberta. They usually issue lots of EOIs in beginning of year. By doing so he can have B plan in case company closes before he gets a decision.
Anyone?

This is very specific and it is unwise to look for advice on a forum. Ask your cousin to consult an immigration lawyer, as there may be nuances with PNP applications that the average forum member won't be aware of. See if you can tag legalfalcon in a post somewhere else, but other than that, his wisest choice would be to shell out some cash for an immigration attorney (attorney, not a consultant)

@ilikesnow guess who got the RFV email (i think)
Came here just to congratulate you, little whinning B :D

Got the passport stamped and planning to land in Canada first thing this year.

Now, was I or wasn't I spot on about us getting our PPR this year, you doubting son of a gun ? I have made other countless analysis and how the immigration process will go in the coming years, but I will see them unfolded from within Canada.

I really wanted to use explicit language towards you, just for the fun of it and also hoping for the MODs to delete my account since they have disregarded my plea to delete it so far. If it doesn't get deleted, I apologize in advance but I will come and name call you, specifically you :p

Good luck everyone and take care !

xD Fine we were both right about different things. I got lucky with quick processing, just like you did. Doesn't mean they will magically beat the pre-COVID standard of 80% in 6 months. Meanwhile, I called them messing up draws due to implementing TEER, there being at least one gap in bi-weekly draws before end of the year (looks like technically we've had two), and overall bad news for pre-ITA folks going into 2023.

Oh good point. They've ignored mine too. Here's my attempt. Fuck you :)

Have you considered pnps?

I have, but I don’t want to be restricted. I worked as a software technical support advisor for Apple in Canada after my graduation, and its not my field of study. My field of study is international relations and diplomacy. So Let’s say I get called under PNP BC (technical Support ) I believe I have to work in a technical field in BC till I get my Canadian passport.

Wouldn’t it be an issue when applying for a Canadian passport because I didn’t meet the PR requirements if I happen to work in totally different field? Ircc is full of surprises. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Not to bring in personal matters here.. I got screwed over by my late dad.. he stopped paying my fees so I had to work to pay it off. Mum and I found out that he married his concubine behind our backs and spent so much money for his so called marriage. At that time I had some couple grounds left to be paid, so I pleaded with him for help...my plan to was immediately get in to a masters program after my graduation but I couldn’t because I couldn’t provide my certificate...I only needed 4 million Naira (Nigeria Currency) from my dad...he had it but refused. Anyway, it was by Gods grace I was allowed to continue my education by the school authorities with much pleading.

Why am I in this predicament? I rushed back home home upon hearing my dad had stroke then Covid/lockdown happened. I wish I never came back home (Nigeria) and as well as let my actions be dictated by my emotion. LOL lesson learned... to make matters worst, his so called concubine he married have been abusing me saying “you went to Canada for 9 years and you have nothing to show for” LOL pure jealousy and enemy of progress...I know in her little brain she’s happy that I’m still stuck in Nigeria....sometimes when I remember it I get extremely sad and issues with immigration worsen my state of mind. Constant delays smh ...

I’m a believer of Christ so I depend on God. Hence, scripture “we wrestle not against blood and flesh but principalities” In the end God will make my enemies my footstool. And my enemies will be trapped by their evil ways. Amen!

This is my story and truth...

I hope to share my story when I become the prime minister of Canada someday and make immigration process less painful. Till then I will continue to wait patiently

Good luck everyone!

So sad to have 9 years go to waste through no fault of your own. I hope things work out for you eventually. Keep pushing and praying. For graduate PNP, I think you'll need to work in a field related to your study to qualify. This was the previous policy but a lot have changed since COVID so perhaps that rule no longer hold. You'll need to search on this forum and ask around to be sure.

All the best.
